Amph "You think you're the only superhero in the world?" - The Marvel Cinematic Universe

Given Valkyrie is in the movie and Jaimie Alexander is the lead on Blindspot, I wouldn't be surprised if Jaimie's small role is just getting killed off in the beginning and then have Valkyrie take over her role as female Asgardian warrior/love interest.
I'm actually surprised she's in it at all given her last comments on her odds of being in the movie.

 

Possibly. Perhaps she couldn't say anything until the official announcement. You know how secretive Marvel can be. I'd like more Sif myself.

 

I like Sif too. So much so, I was one of the fans rooting for Jaimie Alexander to be Wonder Woman.

Any news of Enchantress? I would love to see her character.

 

Speculation is that MCU Hela is a composite version of Death, Enchantress, and Hela.

However, that would make sense in the broader picture with Thanos coming into the fold. I don't think Death as character onto herself will come across well theatrically for the general audience. But, I still want an Enchantress character. She's like Thor's Catwoman.

 

I can see them originally wanting Amora as villain, but then wanting to tie it into Thanos with Death, so they just went with Hela who could cover both.

 

Loralei made an appearance on Agents of SHIELD...

 

which might also mean no Enchantress given how the movie and tv branch get along. I mean Inhumans was shelved until AoS is off the air just so they don't have to acknowledge it.

 

Loralei was such a swing and a miss for Agents of SHIELD. But it gave me hope that since Agents of SHIELD used Loralei instead of Enchantress, the MCU proper was saving that character for the movies.

I'm glad that Marvel seems to be going all in, and are doing their best to make sure Ragnarok is really good. Unlike Iron Man and Cap, Thor hasn't had a breakout amazing film yet IMO.

 

Yeah, this movie suddenly jumped to "most hyped for phase 3" besides Guardians 2 mostly because Goldblum.

 

I hope for a really great Thor film. I love Hemsworth in the role, but I don't feel he's had the chance to really play a multi-faceted Thor.

Yes, he is.

 

So no Padme in Thor 3?

 

No.

She's not interested and as most of the movie is cosmos based that makes sense


Lack of her character is not an issue as there will be plenty of other strong women fir people to relate to.


I'm, sure you'll get your "sexy" quotient too.

 

It might even improve the Thor films, which IMO have been the weaker films in the MCU save for IM2 and IM3.

 

I don't think Portman was ever really "into" the role. Both Thor films seem phoned in with 2 even more so.



I like her as an actor but I don't think fantasy suits her

 

I liked Jane. Her and Darcy felt like the only female character in the MCU that weren't the same type of character. All the others are variations of the straightman to the male heroes comic antics.

 

I can see your point there. Darcy I thought was a great character and the actor seemed involved in the role. Portman not so much
