    Probably a little fast and loose with the time frame...and the story...but kind of entertaining... You shouldn't have any difficulty determining the characters despite no direct references...

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Younglings
    He watched from a perch just shy of a grove of Percot trees, still young and short of rigid maturity; the trees, not ?he?. He felt as if a horde of years had been squeezed from him this last decade. Each day he would creep into the surrounds of the cleared field and search out a reprieve by collecting the carefree experience of youth through vicarious eyes.
    The flat gracite rock he chose as a base of observation sat back just a bit so as to, partially, seclude him, but offer good scrutiny of his focus. Not that it would have mattered. His quarry was likely to be attentive, only, in their immediate vicinity.
    Luke chuckled to himself as the partially grown Wookiee followed around the little girl like her acting Lieutenant and Sergeant at Arms. She didn?t require the assistance in her words or her actions. But, he was there, diligently, regardless. Such proof was offered as she leveled a full running tackle on a small boy with a raised chin and a shock of errant brown hair with a mind of its own.
    The small boy, significantly younger in appearance, rolled with the hit and came up on two feet perfectly balanced while the larger girl remained face first in dirt. He held a smile and she held clumps of reed grass on the front of her jumper.
    Good reflexes for one so young. Luke mused. Fine awareness of all around him, as well.
    The Wookiee seemed to agree with that assessment as the defiant little girl pushed up with another attempted tackle in response to his amused low rolling laugh. Instead, he grabbed up the aggressive assault and held her in his claw retracted paws just before a light drop to the ground right where she had landed before.
    ?Not necessarily well thought out in her efforts.? Luke said quietly while pulling out a piece of fruit from his cloak. ?But, feisty and defiant just like her Mom.?
    She would be better served by the more cerebral qualities of the one he sought out now.
    It didn?t take long as Luke used a fool-proof indirect route. He searched out the figure of a proud intense young girl with severe red hair. He would be somewhere within her reach. His pursuits seemed to be, painfully, relentless. The red-haired severity never offered a clue as to whether it was an annoyance, or not. She, rarely, offered anything at all.
    I will have to institute a lesson in reference to personal space to the Jedi curriculum. He thought. He wondered whether the red-haired girl would be thankful or resentful should her constant shadow take the hint.
    He found her; then him right behind.
    The young girl carried herself across the field in a purposeful stroll, arms clasped behind her back, chin raised, no deviations. To the others her age, it was a release of energy and a chance to fly free. To her, it was the mid-morning constitutional.
    Just a step back and leading with his shoulders as if willing the direction, trotted a demonstrative, good-natured and cerebral boy. Luke could make out that his mouth was in motion as an antecedent to the one he spoke. Hers was tightly sealed.
    ?Hmmm.? Luke offered to himself with a slight grin as he noticed a quick controlled smile evolve on the intense girl?s face while it was out of sight of her pursuer. Then, just as quickly, the rote expression of scant offering returned as he moved to her side.
    Personal space is a relative term. Luke mused in the display.
    ?Ah.? Luke said in noticing the young boy sitting on the ground away from the others. On first view, he seemed to be resting and enjoying the strong Yavin system sun as it reflected off the Gas Giant looming over their moon. However, there was something unsettling in the scene; Something quit
    Cute, especially the part about the boy who wouldn't leave the red-haired girl alone. Some things never change, do they, Jacen?
    Awww, adorable. [face_love] I loved seeing the kids from Luke's point of view. They seem a lot more rambunctious from this angle. :p
    I guess they don't. But, give Denning a chance...and he will change everyone... :eek:
    Glad you liked it...
    Pesky little Anakin... *har* It had to be him...
    I like Luke's point of view as well. And, the little girl (obviously Jaina) was probably a real terror at that age... I thought tackling everyone that rubbed her the wrong way would be believable...
    Thanks for reading folks.
    Cheers
