Your car: Automatic or manual transmission?

Automatic with sport-trak

 

My car is an auto... I am ashamed to say that I don't know how to drive a manual!

 

I can drive either, but my car is an automatic.

 

Automatic. I wouldn't know where to begin with a manual.

 

Automatic, thankfully. Same with my mom's Suburban and Dad's Sable ( ).

Had a manual until I became a Dad.
Auto's are better when flailing arms at children in the back seat.

 

Auto's are not that common her in the UK, you can find them if you look hard enough but they tend to be more popular on your higher priced vehicles, e.g Mercedes/BMW.

 

I drive both types.

 

Automatic. I don't even know how to drive a manual. Every time I ride with a friend who drives a stick shift my head keeps slamming against the head rest. I prefer a smooth ride. But I just drive for transportation, not recreation.

 

All three cars I've owned have been manual. My current car has a turbo engine, so having the control and better acceleration is a must.

 

Stick shift. I can drive both kinds, though, I just prefer manual. It's what I learned to drive on.

 

I don't drive yet.

 

I feel like I have more comtrol when I drive a stick. The chalange is also fun.
My friend told me that you can't hold hands while driving a stick. Is that true?

Manuals suck in traffic jams
Automatics have more transmission problems..

However...everyone should know how to drive both kinds until the day comes when one/or the other is gone..
