    At this point I'm expecting to hear that the guy that directed The Green Room has been picked to direct an anthology film and then six months later I'll be hearing about how he's been fired or his movie's being overseen by another director.

    Steven Spielberg even though he wouldn't do it now at his age. And perhaps he shouldn't do it now if he could. But in the early 80s he was at his peak and rumors swirled he and George talked briefly about ROTJ.

    That would have been the time or in the prequel era.

    No, yes, yes :p

    I can't stand Sofia Coppola's movies, to be honest, and I don't think she would be a good fit for Star Wars. However, Bigelow and Jenkins both seem like good fits.

    Initially I thought he wouldn't be a good fit, but the more I think about it, the more I want to see Christopher Nolan direct a Star Wars movie. If he's allowed to do his own thing, I think he could give us something really unique and memorable.
