I tend to really like the underbelly of Star Wars, the ones filled with questionable characters, bounty hunters, and the "scum and villainy". So Jabba's palace holds a special place in my heart.

Yes, the "staring off into destiny" motif is out to really good use throughout the saga. Just for the sake of rounding out the collection:

Curiously, the only equivalent present in TPM are Maul's "hunting" shots.

(I'm now realizing that the scenes in those first two Maul pictures were probably shot at the same time, with the second one being shot through a camera filter/color graded in post.)

    Thread bump

My favorite aesthetic in Star Wars has to be the melding of technology with nature. Tatooine, Geonosis, Mustafar, Yavin, Hoth, Starkiller Base, D'Qar. It's all over the saga. This is something very unique to the franchise, and a great way to bring interesting design into the films.

I love the Colors of Felucia, and the Beauty of the Coruscant Sky lanes, particularly the Jedi Temple.

I'm surprised nobody has said Endor yet. Endor is absolutely wonderful, I love the Redwood ecosystem.

I tend to like the utilitarian look of the Imperial facilities, such as Death Star, Star Destroyer, and Endor base.
This last one serves as a good segway into my other favorite motif, which is when they combine the futuristic with the naturally grown, such as Naboo, Endor near the bunker, Kashyyyk, Mos Eisley.

It is too hard to pick one, the SW is all about the visual, still I think how the color palett speaks by itself.
TPM: blured, smooth colors with some shadows in the end (phantom menace)
    AOTC: multilayered, always double sided
ROTC: dark and red: burn and death.
ANH: for me it has very 'dessert' colors, maybe as for the contrast of the new hope rising
    ESB: white and dark
ROTJ: at least some vivid colors in the OT. Intentionally, of course.

I love love love all the cool-colored settings. Especially with soft/diffused light, and especially cities or buildings.

Can't find a good shot of it, but I especially love the ESB scene with Vader at the top of the steps in the carbon freezing chamber, awaiting Luke just after he enters. It's such a simple yet powerful composition: complimentary colours of blue and orange, Vader silhouetted, and that sequence moves very slowly, building the tension. I feel like you'd never see such a stripped down scene in a modern blockbuster.
