My favorite posters of the Classic Trilogy are ACloneWhoIsDifferent and DarkLadyMara.

I actually have the original (stolen from a theater in 1980) hanging on my wall right now. Same with the ROTJ one with the held up saber and the REVENGE OTJ next to it.

I have a thing for all the posters. Each has something special about it. Each has a different style and feel that is appropiate one way or another.

 

My favorite poster of all time will always be the ESB poster of just Vader's helmet against a star background. Simple but beautiful and yes I still have it. I can't believe it's 24 years old now, wow.

Insider a while ago did an artical on SW posters. There were seome interesting ones, including one (which i can't find online) for ROTJ that depicted Vader's head exploding.

Tres cool. Kinda like forshadowing that he will take off the mask later on.

I thought I was in the minority liking the gone with the wind ESB. It's my fav. The ANH SE is ok, but it has Leia from ESB instead of her ANH look. Turned me off it..

This one. It gives it that classic movie feeling. I think it's also a favorite of Lucas.

The orginal Star Wars poster. Classic.


Number two would probably be the TPM teaser.....Anakin w/ the Vader shadow.

 

The ROTJ teaser poster, where it's just hands holding a lightsaber.

 

ESB Gone with the wind. I just ordered that poster and it should come in the mail soon.

Edit: Not a minute after I typed that, it came in the mail.

 

Beautiful simplicity

^I love how simple this poster is. There's no big action to it; just a lightsabre, Endor, and the Death Star. Which pretty much sums up ROTJ.
