PT Your Favorite Prequel Villain?

I realize there was a thread for this before, but it was locked seven years ago. So I figure there are enough new members to make a new one. My favorite would have to be Darth Sidious.

 

My favoured grey one of the listed subset is Dooku. I do not call characters/people hero or villain.

 

I'd say Sidious followed closely by Dooku.

As much as I like Dooku and Gunray...

Palpatine is just on another level of awesome.

My favourite PT villain would be tied between DV and Dooku,

Darth Vader, becaue, well it's Darth friggin' Vader. The whole plot of the PT is Anakin's fall to becoming Darth Vader, and I like seeing a non-suited Vader committing terrible acts all in the name of protecting the one he loves. It's something any human could relate to.

And Dooku because he's got swagger. The guy has class and sophistication, and he's not evil in the stereotypical way which makes him different.

 

Honestly, I think my favorite changes frequently. Dooku, Maul and Sidious are all awesome and it really depends on what I'm in the mood for in terms of a villain.

 

1. Darth Sidious - He's just brilliant.
2. Darth Maul - Too cool.
3. Darth Vader - I'm not a huge fan of him in ROTS; I like Vader better in the OT.
4. General Grievous - Mildly amusing.
5. Count Dooku - I've never cared for him much one way or another.
6. Jango Fett - Mandolorian.
7. Nute Gunray - Well, there's not much to be said.

 

I'd say Maul, very closely followed up Sidious. Sidious only comes second because he's sometimes just a little too over-the-top for my tastes in Revenge of the Sith. I mean, Ian McDiarmid is always fun to watch, and he looks like he's having the time of his life, but there's two or three scenes where I think they should have toned Palpatine down some. After Sidious, I'd put Dooku.

 

Sidious's plot was intricately well-done. Overall, he has to be my favorite Prequel villain.
-- Have the TF blockade Naboo so the Senate would elect him Chancellor via the sympathy card
-- Secretly fund an opposing army so the Senate thinks they need to grant him emergency powers.
-- Exploit Anakin's fears and perceived alienation so the line between good and evil can be blurred.

Sidious is the villain above all others, and was my favorite, followed by Maul.

Where is Sebulba, Watto and Poggle?

 

Definitely Palpatine by a far margin, But he was the only one (besides Gunray) who got three films. Second place would probably go to Dooku.

GG and Gunray were easily the weakest to me.

 

I actually forgot about Sebulba, but I can't seem to edit the poll anyways. Watto I don't consider to be a villain in the same sense as Sidious or Vader (the big intergalactic type), and I feel Poggle isn't in the films long enough, he's more of a background character to me.

 

Sidious is the greatest villain of the saga. Count Dooku, Darth Maul, and General Grievous could all have been consolidated into one character which had an arch that last the entire PT. They could have become an elderly, cyborg with tatoos all over himself who served as the apprentice of Darth Sidious.

If I had to pick another, It would be Count Dooku and Darth Maul.

Count Dooku I like because of how cool and calculating a sith his is and how he is a sympathetic villain or at least in the EU. Plus, he's played by Christopher Lee which is perfect.

Darth Maul has actually been growing on me lately. I like how BA a character he is, plus I liked how TCW made him more of a character.

Huh, that's interesting. When i saw this i auto-thought Palpatine. But I too did not like uneeded things like that weird flip flop off a chair thing he did while fighting Mace Windu. I could nitpick things on the list, but not Maul. hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
