Your favorite scene

I was just wondering what everyone's favorite scene is from the classic trilogy. Not your favorite quote or favorite shot, but an ENTIRE SCENE.

I would have to say that one of mine is the when Darth Vader arrives on the Death Star in ROTJ. Love the conversation between him and Jerrjod (sp?).

 

"You cannot hide forever Luke"
"I will not fight you"
"Give yourself to the dark side. It is the only way you can save your friends. Yes, your thoughts betray you. Your feelings for them are strong. Especially for... Sister! So... you have a twin sister. Your feelings have now betrayed her, too. Obi-Wan was wise to hide her from me. Now his failure is complete. If you will not turn to the dark side, then perhaps she will."
"NEVER!"

 

Oh, yes! That one makes it on my Top Ten list, too! Evil, evil, evil!

 

Luke say 'Never'? I always thought he said 'Arghhhh!!!!'

I always thought it was one of the two but could never figure out which one. That scene is among my favorites.

 

I don't think I really have ONE favourite scene, but I also loved Han and Leia's first kiss...until damn Threepio has to walk in >.<

I've always thought he said, "NEVER!" too.

My favorite scene of all time is at the Sarlacc Pit in ROTJ. The tense music, the quick takes of all the heroes, as Luke is pushed out onto the plank. The guard pushes him, then Luke turns the tables on the bad guys, catching the plank, using it as a springboard to flip back onto the skiff, catched his Artoo-launched lightsaber, flips on that cool green saber, and goes to town on the bad guys. Triumphant music throughout the battle, and the good guys win.

Awesome scene!

 

The entire saber duel scene between Vader and Luke in ESB, especially the end.

Vader: Obi-Wan never told you what happened to your father.

Luke: He told me enough. He told me you killed him.

Vader: No. I am your father.

Luke: Noooooo!! That's impossible!!

That was great stuff.

 

Luke and Vader's conversation on Endor. The atmosphere was eerie, and went very well with the dialouge.

 

Yep. Both the Father&Son conversation and the The Dark Side Beckons scene.

And The Asteroid Field.

 

No, Luke, I am your father = best scene

in each scene there are tottaly rememberable quotes, visuals and emotion.

 

Vader and Luke's deadly lightsabre duel on Cloud City from ESB.

 

Definitely the battle of Hoth, finally we get to see the awesome Imperial army begin to actually kick some Rebel booty.

 

Hands down!

ANH --- Conference room -- one quote sums up the scene: "The ability to destroy a planet is insignificant next to the power of the force!"

Vader's sad devotion to his ancient religion showed them his might.

 

"The force is with you young Skywalker.....But...You are not a jedi yet......"
Then Luke walks right infront of him turns on his lightsaber, and vadar turns on his... I always wondered, why Darth mauls saber sounded so much like Vadars saber (the high pitched peewwwwwwwww)
and the part where Vadar says
"All to easy..." and the part where he say;
"What is thy bidding?, my master?"
and the part where he says:
"WHERE ARE THOSE PLANS THAT YOU HAVE INTERCEPTED! WHAT HAVE YOU DONW WITH THOSE PLANS!!"

I can go on and on.......

 

Anakin's demasking and the line "You were right about me, tell your sister...you were right. Now go! Leave me..."

ROTJ duel between Luke and Vader especially when Vader learns Leia is Luke's sister

ESB duel especially "No, I am your father"

Everything on Dagobah

 

I reckon I like the part in Return of the Jedi where Lando is talking to Chewbacca about his space battle and then where he is dancing, clapping his hands to the beat of the ewoks singing.

 

The Death Star Conference Room scene. That took guts, in how Motti told Vader that the Force is bunk. Despite Motti being choked afterwards. Another scene is probably in the Cantina when Han is being hired..bribed to take Luke and Obi-Wan to Alderaan. Still another scene is on Echo Base when are heroes are are making a run for the Falcon and Han yells at C-3PO,"Hurry up goldenrod or you're going to be a permanent resident!" For a sad scene. It probably has to be when Yoda dies. I'm a soon to be 28 year old male. Men aren't supposed to be emotional and all. But watching Yoda become one with the Force, still nearly brings me to tears.

 

Mine's a tie between the battle on Hoth and Luke and Vader's fight at the end of ESB. Small wonder that ESB is my favorite of the OT.

The Emperor's chamber scene in RotJ

 

Obi-Wan confessing his past failures to Luke.

"I thought I could train him just as well as Yoda...I was wrong."

The second part of that sentence hints at horror beyond imagination. And we're finally gonna get to see it.
