Your favorite SW theme?

My favorites, I think, are The Force theme and the Trade Federation march.

 

Just a couple of points: There is material in the Obi-Wan/Maul duel. Listen carefully, and you can gradually hear this building hiss up to Obi-Wan going in the hole. I don't know whether this is from Burtt or Williams, but it's definitely there.

And The Dark Side Beckons sounds to me like extensively modulated Emperor's Theme, so that's my pick.

 

I've got to say the "Force theme" from the original trilogy. I don't actually have the CD's of the soundtracks, so I'm going from memory and from playing it in High School.

Although my choices are not original, they are at least a reflection of the truth (as far as my opinion goes).

Especially in the case of Across the Stars .

I watched AOTC today, and I noticed that, in the end credits, although they started out happy, I noticed whose name appeared on screen at EXACTLY the second the music started to turn sad.

What track feature the best example of the "Force Theme"?

The hologram/binary sunset?

 

I like it in "Rescue from Cloud City," that's a real underrated one.

 

The Naboo Victory Parade theme at the end of TPM. It was just so cute and innocent!!! I also like Across the Stars, and the Imperial March.

I'm surprised this resurfaced.

 

I'd have to go with The Arena, but I also like the Force theme and Duel of the Fates.

 

I like the force theme in Rescue from Cloud City/Hyperspace, it seems to be in a higher key which makes it seem more emotional

 

I'm begining to really enjoy Qui-Gon's theme.

 

My top three are:

The Force theme
Luke and Leia
Across the Stars

 

Imperial March (hands down)

Leia's Theme (when I was little, I wanted to walk down the aisle to this at my wedding)

Force Theme (my fav is in Binary Sunset because I get this clear picture of Luke looking out into the horizon as the suns are setting!)

I'm suprised Leia's Theme hasn't been mentioned more often!

Anakin's Theme is a beautiful piece.

 

I really like the opening of The Throne Room

 

Yoda's theme, The Force theme, or Luke and Leia's theme, sentimental themes do it for me.

 

I adore Han and Leia's Theme, as well as the Force Theme and the Emperor's Theme. Across the Stars, too. And others.

I especially love Han and Leia's Theme as used in The Rebel Fleet / End Title from ESB.

 

For me, nothing will top the Imperial March.
