Your Favorite Yoda Quote from the OT

Yoda probably has some of the best lines in the entire trilogy. From "Size matters not" to "Luminous beings are we...not this crude matter." the little guy is packed with philosophy and wisdom. What is your favorite line by Yoda in the OT?

 

"Help you I can, yes, mmmm!" It's just the way he says it - makes me laugh every time!

I like his "grumpy old men"-type line too: "All his life has he looked away... never his mind on where he was, what he was doin! Hmph! Adventure! Heh! Excitement! Heh!"

 

The classic "Do or do not. There is no try."

With "Judge me by my size do you?" coming in second.

 

For humor:
"Aw, can't get your ship out?"
"Mine! Mine!" (banging R2 with his cane)
And to go with that, "Mine! Or I will help you not!"
(digging through stuff) "Ah!" (Luke takes it away) "No! Oh..."
"Help you I can, yes, hmmm?"
Anytime he laughs, especially after he gets the flashlight
"How you get so big, eating food of this kind?"

Later, "He is too old!"
I love the way he says it, like he can't think of any other excuses not to train Luke.

For wisdom and plain greatness:
"Forever sleep I will."
"Try not. Do or no not. There is no try."
"That is why you failed."
"Look I so old to young eyes?"

Everything Yoda says is gold.

Smacking R2 with his cane is the best part of the whole movie. Cute little Yoda, facinated with a flashlight.

Then when Luke takes the food cake away "Aww, no..." that was adorable too.

 

My favorite, for the sheer fun in it:

"Take you to him I will, yes. but first -
must eat. Come! Good food!"

It's not just the line - but the delivery. Frank Oz did an incredible job with that original Muppet, even when compared to the new CG version.

his best line is anytime he laughs, he has the funniest laugh.

 

I must agree with wrinkly yoda, he doesn;t even have to say something, i LOVED all his laughs in the OT. THey just sound so awesome...

 

Some of my favorite Yoda lines are just his laughs, they are really funny. I like the way he says, "Aww, cannot get your ship out." but my favorite Yoda line in the OT would have to be "Hmmm.. great warrior, hmmmff.. wars not make one great.

 

"come! good food!"

Very powerful line, not to mention Oz's great delivery.

No one mentioned one of my VERY FAVORITE Yoda lines:

So powerful!

Yoda: You will be, You will be.

 

Although they are all great, my favourite line is:
"mind what you have learned, help you it can"

 

It is one of the longer lines. It's in my opinion one of the best lines in the saga.
