    That ROTJ poster is my favorite ROTJ poster...period. I think it was the UK release version (?).

    What's really nuts about that is how some of it is accurate visually - even if in bizarre ways like R2's head as Vader's shoulderpad - which makes the completely random things like the three-eyed sword-wielding lizard alien or whatever that is seem even weirder.

    ...You know, I've seen that poster dozens of times, and I've never noticed until now that Luke and Vader are each using the wrong lightsaber on it. I wonder if that was deliberate.

    Some more thoughts,
    I don't like the RotJ one as much. I just don't like seeing that Episode V Luke vs Vader art on RotJ promotions. It also feels like it's trying to cram too much. Actually for RotJ, I'd say I prefer the one in Post #37.

    The ANH poster also seems off without Vader after Episode III. Vader's TIE isn't even in TESB and the Emperor is in it for a minute tops.

    That said, I like how ANH's and TESB's complement each other. I like how epic all three posters are. I like how they're in the style of the PT's posters (probably my favorite movie posters ever). I remember my excitement in getting the ANH special edition and having that art as the boxart. Looking them as a whole, they could really be one big poster as no character is repeated outside of Luke and Vader in the duel. (That could explain why RotJ's seems to clustered and like a mess, because the Big 3, Vader, and Obi-Wan's profiles are already on the posters for ANH and TESB)

    Hungary makes the weirdest Star Wars posters but I think Russia wins when it comes to posters that don't resemble the film at all.

    Digging this thread up, since I have a big love of movie posters (I even do some poster work for films on the side, though only photography/Photoshop, since I can't paint).

    My favourite OT posters are the VHS covers from the mid-90's, by John Alvin:

    This might be because these were the covers of my first copies of the films (and also the covers of the first three issues of the Swedish Star Wars comic books in 1996 - ah, the memories). I wish we had gotten PT posters by Alvin in the same style.
