Until recently, my two films I had to stop and watch when flicking through channels were Tge Shawshank Redemption and Stand By Me. Two excellent films, very well regarded.

And then, for some reason, I watched Pitch Perfect. The imdb tease is:

Beca, a freshman at Barden University, is cajoled into joining The Bellas, her school's all-girls singing group. Injecting some much needed energy into their repertoire, The Bellas take on their male rivals in a campus competition.

I don't know why, but it's added into the must watch rotation. I think I've watched it four times now. There is absolutely nothing in it that I usually like in a film, the opposite in fact. And yet there I am, watching it, delighting in the stupid ****ing Cups song.

So yes, I'm either wanting your guilty pleasure films, or trying to expand the Pitch Perfect fan base, I'm not sure.

    The Phantom Menace. [face_blush]

Seriously. Another one off the top of my head is Troop Beverly Hills. Some channel has been playing it a lot in the last few months and I always end up watching the whole thing.

Well at least you and George Lucas guiltily pleasure themselves to it.

For me: The Punisher (2004 version).

But that's a decent movie, not a guilty pleasure at all... (well, except for stupid Travolta's overacting) Now, if you had said the original Dolph Lundgren Punisher, you might have had a point.... :p

And for some reason, Commando has been playing seemingly non-stop lately on cable- Showtime, I think.

Kung Pow! Enter the Fist is a masterpiece of comedy despite the abysmally bad reviews.

My youngest son is a Pitch Perfect addict. I don't know why, but he's watched the movie 4 or 5 times now.

For me the guiltiest of guilty pleasures is Nick Cage in Next. This movie is so very very dumb. And yet in my head I'm able to explain it into the finest work of sci fi ever made.

I almost have to go with my family. It has Hailee Steinfeld, who has made nothing but miserable flops since the True Grit remake, although Hateship Loveship was interesting. I

I have the opposite problem. I want to go, but would have to hoodwink the family into going.

I prefer Dante's Peak. It is an unintentional parody of disaster movies in the same vein as Heston's Earthquake.
