What backlash? Generally a goth will do nothing but deny that they are one.

But I'm glad to hear that someone shares my lack of love for Buffy. The original movie was... funny. But I can't believe it spawned a TV series. And for effing sake, why Sarah MG?!

Gothic backlash? Ender, congrats. You managed to find a jpg that sums up what maybe 5% of the people who assosciate themselves with the gothic subculture think they are, and it's worth pointing out those kind of people generally aren't in touch with the other 95%.

Ender, I assosciate myself with the Gothic subculture, and have many friends who also do. None of us can be summed up in that image. I myself don't wear makeup or think I'm a vampire, I just wear a lot of black and choose to spend my evenings and weekends hanging around hot chicks in tight fitting PVC...

If you think the image you posted is in any way accurate, then you need to stop hanging around shopping malls....

 

They don't have goths in Taiwan, nor homeboy ****ers. It's excellent like that.
