Your Least Favorite Scene from Indiana Jones

The bug scene from Temple of Doom. I hate that scene. Even worse when I'm eating and it comes on.

 

I do love how Willie runs in and resets the Death Trap immediately afterwards.

Even the sinister music starts back up!

 

Yeah, mine is Willie sticking her hand into the disgusting bug hole.

I hate bugs. Hate 'em.

 

I actually don't mind that scene, because it's one of the few times in TOD that Willie feels more like a normal person, swept up in Indy's adventures, as opposed to more spoiled persona we normally see.

She reacts just like any normal person would.

 

I agree that Willie's fine in that scene, and she really starts to come into her own as a character rather than an annoyance.

I just literally can't stand those bugs.

 

Literally everything about that scene I hate. Willie's aight in the scene but geez! I always skip that scene. I just can't...

 

Nothing comes close to the Scottish lord scene. My face almost turns inside out during that scene from the cringe.

 

Which film?

 

Crusade.

 

Damn. Reminds me how long it's been since I've seen the film...

 

I think the bug scene is really cool. Call me crazy.

But it is kinda cool.

 

The well of souls scene from Raiders. Not because it's a bad scene or anything, but because I'm absolutely terrified of snakes in real life and watching it makes me really uncomfortable.

 

Are you more afraid of snakes than Indy?

I just can't with that scene. I'd rather sleep naked in a coffin covered in snakes than watch that scene ever again.....

The prairie dog in the opening credits in Skull - unfortunately things went down hill from there.

 

The vine swinging in KOTCS. Yuck.

 

Willie running around and screaming at the wildlife in Temple of Doom.

 

Crystal Skull had the most.

The jungle scene.
Aliens.
Mudd looked awkwardly interested in his mommy and daddy's kiss. Why'd he lick his lips? Weird.
And when the truck busts through all those wooden crates, it looks just plain silly.

 

"That's how we say good-bye in Germany" following "That's how we say good-bye in Austria".

It appears the filmmakers were neither aware that Hitler was from Austria and that the Austrian soldiers fought in WWII just like the German ones did.

 

KOTCS: anything with Karen Allen (especially the banter she shares with Indiana).

 

96.5% of KOTCS, 87.2% of TOD and 33.3% of TLC.

But especially that thrice-damned king-of-the-monkeys scene in KOTCS. It's the low point in all 4 films.
