Colum, OH Your Lightsaber?

I don't know how many of you have custom sabers...I just finished mine this weekend. I want to add a couple of thumbscrews here and there...but I'll do that later. Mine is made from a sink drain tube and some other hardware.

Mine is EL blade ready...to a degree. It is made to handle the EL blade hardware. I just need to spend the money to get the electronics and the blade equipment (next year...).

I also started on my daughter's design. I'm making her's out of PVC...figuring she's only 2 years old and it might get a little bit of abuse. I haven't painted it yet...but it's pretty much done and only took me about 20 minutes and $5 worth of parts.

I still need to add a grip as well. With it only being 1 1/4" wide...I should be able to jam a bike handlebar grip onto it.

Here's a closeup of the emitter head. I plan on getting one of those 2 ft long "glow sticks" that you snap and shake. I'll wrap some duct tape around one of the ends and jam it into the tube and VIOLA! a "working" lightsaber.

Now I wanna see some other peoples sabers! Post them up!

I still need a few more pics of the Obi saber so I can start mine in the next two weekends...Also need to find the buttons for the bottoms of those stupid food pellets so I can paint those, as well as finding a few pouches. Finish my communicator, make the cuffs for my boots (since the stupid things won't zip all the way, I'll have a modified E2/E3 Obi), and any other props I deem worthy. Plus I have alot of figures I'm customizing...yeah, its official, I have that bug too...

I have a few others, mostly stunt sabers that we used for the Black Knight movie.

 

I have a custom lightsaber...but I don't have a picture of it yet! Its done but my Jaina Solo costume that it goes along with is still work in process. But that is nice saber.
