Well, my Lightsaber could be seen in "Brains and Steel". I am not sure if I have a picture of it online, but if you saw the movie, there it was:)

(I was in there, alongside Clay Kronke, and the saber he holds while saying "I´ve never seen its equal" is mine)

I have concept art of what my double bladed lightsaber/blaster will look like, with listings of the parts will be or what I need for parts. It will split into two, and then can be used as two sabers or two blasters. This is all fictional though, but I might use blades that are hard clear red plastic(or plexiglass, like what the hilt windows will be) that fold out from the hilt. I will post a link to the scanned concept drawings as soon as I get it up.

I've just finished my first "working" custom hardware saber. It has a Lightech EL blade kit in it. In darker blue, not that ice blue color. I got everything for the hilt at my local Lowe's. It's basically a chromed sink tail piece (a basic staple with many saber makers, no?) with a curved black PVC emitter shroud and a PVC grip (inspired from designs at BYB) with a rubbery, textured Grip Guard spray made by Rustoleum covering it.

I made a blade retaining sleeve out of a 3/4" piece of PVC. Onto it I glued 3 pieces of 1" PVC for spacers to take up more of the space inside the sink tube.
The bottom of the sleeve is held by 3 1/2" sheet metal screws with black screw covers over the heads that make them look like black buttons.
The top of the sleeve is held centered and stabilized by 4 socket head cap screws with finishing washers under them, which became part of the decorative aspect of the saber. (I got inspiration by looking in the specialty hardware cabinets at Lowe's)

The saber is all black and silver, except for one accent I decided to add. I wanted a blade retaining screw, like the professional saber makers use, so I used a brass screw and I ground down the head on it, somewhat, (it's what contacts the blade) and epoxied a brass thumb screw onto the end, after putting an o-ring on it.

I already have a Parks M2 saber, but it feels incredibly cool to have an EL bladed saber of my own design and construction. My custom saber feels nicer in my hand. Slightly thicker, so it fills up my large (for a female) hand comfortably. And it also feels more balanced, when the blade is in, than my Parks saber. :D

I made the whole thing using a hack saw, drill, Dremel and hot glue gun. As well as various hand tools, including screw drivers,

When I get some pictures taken, developed and scanned, I'll come back and post some here (alas, I have no access to a digital camera). I've been impressed by many of the sabers I've seen in this thread and would like to show off my own, especially since there aren't as many female prop makers out there as male ones! :p

    "I already have a Parks M2 saber"

Awesome! That's the one I want to get. They are so sweet! Parks Sabers should make an M2 Doublebladed, although that would be expensive. It would also look like the saber I'm gonna build.

OK, I've just finished my style 7 saber from BYB. I am however having a problem finding a color of blue I like for the blades. I've changed it twice already and it's still darker than I'd like. Anyone have a suggestion of a place or color of ice blue I can find that would look pretty close? The 2 flourescent blues I've tried haven't been it yet. If that fails I"m going with green!

I just decided on a saber to buy, the new "impailor" from creative force. It costs $200, and is $300 cheaper than their other doublesaber, the impailer EX. I'm gonna either buy my sister their "mini" for $50 or make her one with just simply a pommel end, button, and a sinkpipe. She doesn't care what it looks like, as long as it's pink or purple bladed.

BTW: I have rich parents, but they don't spend a cent on my wants unless it's a special occasion and they have time to get it, and even then, I got one thing from them that's not clothes. Also, they're sorta losing money through the bad economy and the stock market.

I have a Park Sabers Rogue with 2 blades one green and one blue. I have taken off the belt loop thing at the top below the emitter because it was an annoyance and it looks cooler. I hope to get one of Mr. Park's new MPP clamps onto the saber so it can be more like Anakin's in EII.

You *can* get a Parks M2 double sided saber. They're about $400.

I just have to pipe in on the subject-> Parks has amazing customer service and top quality hardware. The lady who answers the phone is Kim Parks, Jeff's wife. Really cool couple! I've got a customized Echelon, but I'm about to order his newest saber the Duece which is not shown completed on his website. Very cool rendition of the Luke ANH Graflex but with 18V power instead of 9V, so it's twice as bright!

It hasn't been offically released yet, but he's already taking orders for them for those in the know. Basically it's an exact replica of a Graflex (it can actually be used as a photoflash tube) but then he converts the flash for his EL two-battery system, which is brand new and he hasn't shown it yet.

Hey-- Doniven, what does your Rogue look like? I have a theory. I think he started changing the Rogues during the holidays becuase in the pictures when I ordered, there was, on the control box a brass plate with little circles on it. When I got mine, the plate was brass but had the lines on it like the one on the site now. Also-- the picture for last year's Rogue seemed to have a, I guess, matte finish on the emitter but mine is chrome like the model that is out now. Oh, well. I also got my stand last week. It's so cool. Worth the sixty bucks.

mine has the lines like yours & crome finish. As for your theory it might be true cuz after the holidays was when he released his new designs. plus i think its for those fans who wanted an Ani. EII. lightsaber all he had to do to stay away from copyright laws was to change a few things, but now with the release of the graflex clip you can make it look almost exactly the same as the on in the movie.
