Heres a pic of a friend of mine holding my newest creation.the hilt is full size, nearly 15 inches long.with a huge guard on it.pretty much unlike anything ive ever seen.we nicknamed it the "Bat Saber".
In this picture there are NO special effects added.the blade has a special reflective tape around it and when the flash goes off it glows!!!really cool for the fans that come out to our events because when they get home and develop their pictures they will wonder where the saber effects came from.

check out our site and look in the gallery.under special events there is a link to alot of pictures of our most recent event at a Vipers Arena Football game.lots of shots with that saber.

Anyone use D-Ring belt clips? Someone posted in one of the lightsaber threads about a belt clip that you could snap it in and out of one-handed, but I can't seem to find it anywhere. I thought they said it was in the automotive/key dept of wal-mart, but I couldn't find it there. I found one but you still have to use two hands to release it...

Honestly the Covertec clips are the only one handers I have seen that work right with your hand, the release switches on on the sides not the top, plus they are more durable...and for $6.50, not a bad price.

I like them more...as for D-rings one day I want a Luke ESB so ;)

No, I'm absolutely positive, someone even posted a pic of a one-handed d-ring clip. My new machined saber has an OT style d-ring on it and I'm looking but can't find the one they posted about a long time ago (it doesn't help that I can NOT find that thread).

the reflective tape i used was from Academy Sports.biking section.
it comes in silver, orange and yellow.
but all three colors will reflect WHITE.alot of the pics we took had a solid white glow with a few having an orange hue to it.i did use the orange and it looks cool just holding it.
i have a friend in the trucking biz that may have found some red tape that reflects red.if that happens i will make another vader saber to use.

Doright, are the black areas made up of rubber O rings? It looks neat. And ow much do rubber O rings cost?

Sorry. been out of town and still catching up.

Yes I do use O-Rings for the grips. They are 35-40 cents as was said above. The problem is finding enough. The local stores only stock about 10 at a time and I use about 20 to 25 on a saber. I go to several stores in the area and clean then out. LOL. They do stock a few more now. I need to find a source where I can get them wholesale.

On another note. here are some sabers I made for members of my fan Force.

Doright, those sabers rule!!!! And you've finally given me a solution for doing rotocasting without a blade!! But, how do you do it? Because I saw a reflector in both of those, and I'll be having a reflector in mine too!!

Awesome job, that motivates me to try PVC too, or maybe a PVC/Chrome Sink Tailpiece Combo, that makes it look machined. You have mastered that effect.

I'm not from the US, so I can't help you there. However I read in a thread about it a long time ago, and the guy bought it at Wal-mart I believe.

It's also possible to make one yourself from sheet metal. I tried it and it works quite nicely.

cool, thanks man. I thought that's what he'd said (wal-mart) but the clip I got was the only one I could find. It works great for keeping the d-ring style clip on there, but it still takes 2 hands to release it.

Oh the blades in those pictures are done with photo shop and are not real. they are just hilts I made. I put a plastic jewel in the emitter for the color of choice. I like to add a fake blade to the picture so people can get the old imagination going on how they would look in use. :)

I do occasionally put an acrylic rod in a saber for a blade but I don't have away of doing it so it can be removed yet.

I just make 2 sabers. one with and one without here is an example of that.

Just curious, but where does everyone get their D-rings. I went to Loews and couldn't find any. I asked someone working there and they looked at me like I was crazy and making up products.

look in the section for hanging pictures on your wall. I found a few really nice one's that are actually made to use on the back of a frame or photo.

Your lightsaber should be your unique creation. Whatever you use works.
