Banthas and rancors for non-sentient and semi-sentient beings. For aliens, Wookiees and Hutts.

 

Barada from Jabba's Skiff is one of my favourites....he looked cool on screen and the vintage POTF figure still looks great today.

I think the Dugs are pretty cool. (Sebulba). They walk on their hands.

Hmm, I don't have a particular favourite, but I do think many are interesting. I'd choose Gungans or Kaminoans.

 

Nautolans! Kit Fisto one of my all time favorite character.

Also the Wookies are fabulous creatures.

 

I've always liked Ortolans and mon calamari for aliens, creature would be the sarlaac, and beasts would be bantha and taun tauns. Also a fan of that giant sea creature in TPM.

 

There are too many great aliens to choose from, so I'll stick with creatures. To me, the most well-executed creature in the saga is probably the Acklay, although one of the more heartwarming images in the movies for me (especially given the environment) is seeing Han and Luke on Tauntauns. I also have to say that I would love to see what could be done with a CG Rancor, though I don't think it's wise to repeat monsters or distinctive creatures that do more than just stand around in multiple movies.
