For those of you who read the article and know the seven forms. If you could study just one which would it be. (Form I doesn't really count since its like beginner's class)

For those that haven't seen the article, you can view information on the 7 lightsaber forms here. ;)

I like the Form V discipline. Quite the visual treat. :D

My preferences lean towards Form II for style and form IV for force utilization. Form VII is intriguing but probably a bit too erratic for me. I love flow.

I'm not good at the acrobatics needed for Form IV, so I tend to stick with Form III. I do like some parts of V though, especially those nice over-the-shoulder cuts and diagonal slashes from the hips.

So, usually Form III with a little V mixed in.

    Tough call.

Form IV is a good overall combat style, and looks pretty darn impressive. Plus, my favorite character uses it :D

However, Form II, if studied to a high degree, means you can practically whup anyone else with a lightsabre.

    Tossup between the two.

Form III, the best. Defense is what counts.

    All you need is love!

I'd have to go with Darth Mauls form VII, because it's a master of all the forms, and I like to be good all-around.

I tend to use Form V when sparring or against an inexpereienced opponent, but when the $@!% hits the fan form VII.

This is assuming that you can choose your form. I think the form chooses you. It all depends on (a) what forms you're surrounded with and (b) your circumstances.

As Obi_Wan__Kenobi's link says, form II is the true master form against other lightsabres, but against blasters, you have to adopt a different form or be more adept at other force abilities.

If I were to choose my form(s), I would start out with III to make sure my butt doesn't get fried, but then I'd try to bring form V into the mix so that I'm not constantly on the defensive. Eventually, I think, I would get to the point of form VII and feel like I was at the pinnacle of my abilities.

I think a jedi chooses which form they want to continue learning. As younglings, they are taught the basic technique of Form I. Then, once they are paired up with a master, the padawan typically learns the form of thier mentor (Obi-Wan was using Form IV from Qui-Gon in TPM)...and sometimes choose to learn different techniques (Obi-Wan switch to Form III).

That being said, I would choose Form III. When we get together for picnics and stuff, alot of my Fanforce friends like to have lightsaber fights...I'm pretty good with Form III's use of defensive move/counter-attack style...and it drives them all nuts!!!
