Your writing resolutions for 2006

I resolve to gain 20 lbs and not writing a thing.

*hey I never keep these things, maybe I'll stay thin and actually write something.*

 

1) Get better at writing action

2) Get better at writing political intrigue

3) Explore characters I haven't written before

4) Try to improve my writing in every way possible

Those are my writing resolutions!

 

1: Finish a fiction novel.
2: Learn to be more descriptive.
3: Join a few more challenge threads to turn the wheels.

 

1: Update my story and my RPG threads on a more regular basis.
2: Work on characterization a little more.

And on a less serious note...

3: Somehow write a songfic of a Pearl Jam/Temple of the Dog song.

 

1- o.k., I have this "favorite places" folder (as I'm sure you all do) specifically for WIPs that I'm following, or stories I keep meaning to go back and read...I'm going to clean that sucker up by just binging and reading as much as I can to catch-up.

2-finish up my two current WIPs by mid-spring. All the while researching for one's sequel, and a second one I'm looking forward to writing...

3-Find more ways I can grow as a writer & actually apply them.

4-Explore more styles and concepts I wouldn't normally write, (AUs, clones & combat, Before era, romance *shudder*, and thicker meatier plot lines) expand my horizons...

There's more, but I can't recall them immediatly right now...

 

1. Write political intrigue

2. Write something longer than 4-6 chapters

3. Write more fluff/humour (seriously, I write too angst/drama. My mental health requires i write more fluff/humour! )

4. Participate in more challenges

5. Explore a major character as opposed to a minor character

My writing resolutions:

1) Get inspired/comfortable enough to start updating Shifting Tides regularly.

2) Finish fleshing out the plot/story arc for a future Intertrilogy-era series following the events of Shifting Tides, since it's stuck in my head and it doesn't want to leave.

3) Expand my reader base

4) Leave more reviews on fics.

5) Stop being lazy as it pertains to writing.

6) Hopefully do all this without deteriorating my writing to the point that people start thinking it sucks.

Unfortunately, with the constant attacks I'm getting from Darth Real Life and his apprentices Darth Schoolwork, Darth College, Darth Burnout, and Darth Laziness, doing this may prove to be a tricky task indeed...

 

1. I will try and finish writing The Kids Are Okay (even though not many people are reading it).
2. Write more Obidala viggies or fanfics (I miss those).
3. I will not write something new while working on The Kids Are Okay

1) Finish my two stories that are currently hitting their 4 year mark here.

2) Rewrite and get two songfics I've been working on posted.

3) Finally get around to writing that purge story I've been working on.

 

1: I will start the Masters' Courses in the Creche.

2: I will knight at least two padawans.

3: I will finish my major WIP.

4: I will fully write out the two new WIPs BEFORE I start posting them, unless I finish the current one, of course.

5: I will leave better reviews more consistently instead of shorties.

6: We will get the Beta Academy up and running by May.

 

Okay, my writing resolutions for 2006:

1) Finish my two WIPs, and get started on the first one's sequel.

2) Finish planning out my original novel and START WRITING THE ACCURSED THING!!!!!

3) I will not start any more fics until I finish my current two.

 

Get a computer.

Use it to write.
