Hi there! My name is Shoshana, I'm a college sophomore(2nd year student), and I've been obsessed with Star Wars since I was a wee little lass, barely knee-high to an Ewok. I've read probably too many SW books than are good for me(but not all of them!) and I'm here because of a certain amazing AU fic that was incomplete on another site. And then I started reading some other ones...;)

I love Zahn and Stackpole's books and I sincerely wish I had an X-wing, or at least a super-realistic X-wing flight sim. I get very attached to characters, so certain SW books break my heart... And Wicket W. Warick is one of the greatest characters ever conceived.

I should actually be studying right now, so I'll leave mein introduction at that. Any question?

Hi there Ryorin - welcome to the boards! I'm a student too, and love hanging out around here between studying. It's good for my sanity! Well, maybe... :p

I see you've discovered fan fiction already. Do you write any of your own?

Like Felf said, feel free to contact any of us with questions. :)

Thank you for your kind words, Fel_Freak and path-seeker! *bows*

I'll try not to get lost. These forums are huge!

And I haven't written a fic yet, but I do have a rather amusing one-shot idea. I don't know if I'll have the time to write anything more elaborate and the writing ability I've seen so far here is rather intimidating, but we'll see.;)

Mmmmm... Zahn and Stackpole. I heart them, too. Like Jag says, there are plenty of stuff for EU fans, so enjoy!

And fanfic is the original reason I started posting here... there are a lot of good authors around that I'm sure you'll wind up liking.

Have a blast! Stick around WNU for a while and have some fun, too. :)

I may be guilty of that as well, or at least liking it better than some of the movies. EU is just so expansive!

    Welcome to the JCF, Ryorin.

    I like the EU too.

Do you have a favorite SW book?

Hmm... That's a tough one. I can narrow it down to Allegiance, The Thrawn Trilogy, the X-Wing books, and I, Jedi, but out of those... maybe... Allegiance? Possibly?[face_thinking]

    Welcome Ryorin! :)

As I see you have got lots of nice welcomes already. :D

From your introduction I could imagine that your FanFic migh be written in a very good style. If you're interested, you should give it a try. There's even an adoption program in FanFic. But you can ask every question here as well, since we have some writers here as well and I'm sure they'll love to help you. :)

Enjoy your stay and good luck with homework and your possible FanFic! :)

Thank you for your kind words, Skiara![face_blush]

I may have to look into that FanFic adoption program, but, due to my currant workload and the fact that all of my SW books and movies are 3000 miles away at the moment, it won't be for a while yet. I'll be sure to ask plenty of questions, though!;)

    Hey Ryorin!

Welcome to the boards! I hope you have lots of fun around here (I do). Also, the title of your thread is one of my favorite quotes from a book, which is AWESOME.

    Hope to see you around!

And I have to say, your user name is great! Snowspeeders just don't get the recognition they're due.=D=

But all the workload shouldn't keep you from joining an adoption program. Normally it's no problem to have less time as long as you state it clearly. We all have RLs (ok, some more and some less :p), so we understand that there are other things as well. :)

I have that line written in one of my books written by the author's own hand. :D

And most important, enjoy your stay! :)

Okay, I have to ask about these acronyms, both for my benefit and for that of all newbies:

    1. What does SSEoCDaC/PFEEoCDaC,BDTAT stand for?

    2. What does FADA stand for? I have a general idea of what it means, but what do the letters actually stand for?
