Now before we get too far into this Im not asking HOW to do the effects, Im asking for Ideas on effects.

My 2 sons recieved a large ammount of Yugioh stuff for birthdays and easter ect and with a little work they have some great props and want to film an opening segment.

Now I dont watch much Yugi, so any ideas on what we can do with 2 really big yugi fans, one 13 years old and one 8 years old.

Depends entirely on how far you want to go. Do you have blue screen, a 3D program, and a LOT of time on your hands?

    YUGIOH FANS!!!

    *whips out his deck*

    (yes, he's a big 10 year old...get over it :p)

[EDIT: Okay, over the shock at finding another soul who likes it :p Anyway, it'd require lots of 3d work...and hair gel ;)]

Careful, that's where we hide the skeletons. And the fanfilms that should never have been.

ok, i have adobe AE and of course 2 really big fans and access to blue screen. I Dont have a 3d program but, I am going to use the miniature figures of the monsters for the opening.

I think I like the Japanese version of seasin 3 opening the best so far I ll start with that.

    any other ideas people?

I'm a Yu-Gi-Oh! fan as well. I'd like to see a duel, with as many effects as you can put in it. Seeing a miniature blow up after it's defeated would be cool :)... [face_mischief]. You should be able to pull that off with AE.

Well, if there is going to be some kinda duel, at least try and get the minitures to move. (Otherwise, you'd have minitures just exploding after losing...)

Edit: After Effects could do the job OK, but with the help of a 3d CG model might help out a little more.

Well if I knew CG I would consider doing CD monsters.

But Im an old school effects man, model minatures and peppet work for me,.

Doesn anyone here wanna try with the monsters? I can film all the raw footage, bluescreen compositing ect, if you wanna do the CGI for the monsters.
