Yomin, is this from one of the novels, or is this a creative analysis you developed? There are some seemingly contrary points in there, according to the novels (although, we all know how it is with SW: nothing has any real continuity). The account of the destruction of Yuuzhan'tar is not what I have seen in the novels to this point. Also, there's been some real and serious (OK, and admittedly joking) speculation as to the beginnings of the YV as a species. Some of it is quite interesting and well-reasoned, too. If you're up to it, look here: How do the Vong reproduce?
I think Yomin meant that as his own "prediction" I read the first two pages of that thread, it seemed like only one person remembered that Tsavong did his attendant...
She is a Yuzzie subaltern, and one of Lah's communications attendants. Poor thing ends up having to do the nasty with Lah. Blech! Otto, you wanna tell the story? This is from the "Unofficial NJO Homepage," aka the Yuuzhan Vong Database: Name: Seef Species: Yuuzhan Vong Sex: Female Rank: Subaltern Homeworld: Worldship Political Affiliation: Yuuzhan Vong Weapon(s) of Choice: Amphistaff Vehicle of Choice: Vua?spar interdictor - Sunulok First Appearance: Balance Point Seef served as Warmaster Tsavong Lah?s personal communications attendant during the Yuuzhan Vong invasion. Her striking features accentuated her excellent record of service to the gods. The subaltern?s cheeks are burned with black honor bars. Shortly before the capture of Coruscant Seef witnessed the warmaster naked in a cleansing chamber. In the Yuuzhan Vong culture, it is forbidden for a subordinate to gaze upon the naked body of a superior, except when breeding. Refusing Seef?s offering of her own life, the warmaster instead chose to mate with the young attendant to avert his fears that the gods might believe he was hiding the poor condition of his recent arm graft. Seef continues to live and serve the warmaster with Supreme Overlord Shimrra?s blessing. As I said...poor Seef! />/>
You claim to be an adherent of the Gods and don't know this piece of sacred history?! Blasphemous!! [Hmm...that's rather Yuuzie-like, if I say so myself LOL]
Inari: No, that's just my conjecture. However, I'm interested in what's contrary about Yuuzhan'tar's destruction. IIRC it (Yuuzhan'tar) was only mentioned in passing in DJ, and in a more detailed fashion (but still, almost no focus on history) in Traitor, so what's the contradiction?
Vua would be proud, Inari. I guess if you haven't read Star by Star wouldn't know, but then again I haven't read it and know about the whole Lah and Seef issue. Oh, while I was in the book store I was flipping through SbS and hit a small portion of the book (no not that portion). In it Lah was talking to Seef (I can't recall about what - something about assassinations) but he called her by her name. Well there was a small line saying something like: "She liked it when he used her name, it sounded so intimate". Or something to that affect. Hmm... maybe Seef had a crush on Lah for a while.
Yomin: I thought that the homeplanet was destroyed by waring, not a protracted galactic struggle culminating with a foray back into their original system with the destruction of their homeworld. Tam says: Oh, while I was in the book store I was flipping through SbS and hit a small portion of the book (no not that portion). Yeah, riiiiiight. EEEEEEEEEEEW! Bows at Tam's compliment. Tam, I do believe Vua's influence is rubbing off on me. Ooops, wait. That sounded wrong, didn't it?
Mmmm...Otto...you're gonna have to admit this failing to Lah and hope he doesn't sacrifice your butt! LOL
Ears?! That's lame. Tam and I had something much more...pain-inducing in mind... [EDIT] Otto, click on "The Intractable" on my signature block for a humorous Yuuzie tale
I'm all ready looking, Inari.... I'm allll ready looking. *flips another page to the full back tattoos that we could have etched into Otto_den_Ktulu's backside* Bwhahaha!!!
What's so icky about getting a tattoo on your back!? *rereads her post* Oh! Maybe you thought I ment on your butt? LOL sorry! But you know the Yuuzhan Vong would see your worthiness if you adorned yourself with tattoos! Look at mine! *pulls her tank top strap down a bit to show off her new Dragon Tattoo on her upper left shoulder blade* Pretty cool eh? Hul Rapuung *snorts*: How can you flaunt such a tiny tattoo? Turn your eyes upon me, Tsupling! *gestures up and down his nearly covered tattooed body* This is the sign of great honor and worth! You have only begun your journey down the path of understanding. Me: Well, if you really want me to be covered in art, I'll let you Henna by body. Hul *confused*: This is tattooing? Me: Oh yes! *a week later* Hul: Tsupling, why have your honorable tattoos faded from your skin? Me: Umm... they were, recalled by the Gods? Hul
