Yuuzhan'tar: The Yuuzhan Vong Homeworld

Yomin, is this from one of the novels, or is this a creative analysis you developed? There are some seemingly contrary points in there, according to the novels (although, we all know how it is with SW: nothing has any real continuity).

The account of the destruction of Yuuzhan'tar is not what I have seen in the novels to this point.

Also, there's been some real and serious (OK, and admittedly joking) speculation as to the beginnings of the YV as a species. Some of it is quite interesting and well-reasoned, too. If you're up to it, look here:

In the Yuuzhan Vong culture, it is forbidden for a subordinate to gaze upon the naked body of a superior, except when breeding. Refusing Seef?s offering of her own life, the warmaster instead chose to mate with the young attendant to avert his fears that the gods might believe he was hiding the poor condition of his recent arm graft. Seef continues to live and serve the warmaster with Supreme Overlord Shimrra?s blessing.

Inari: No, that's just my conjecture. However, I'm interested in what's contrary about Yuuzhan'tar's destruction. IIRC it (Yuuzhan'tar) was only mentioned in passing in DJ, and in a more detailed fashion (but still, almost no focus on history) in Traitor, so what's the contradiction?

I guess if you haven't read Star by Star wouldn't know, but then again I haven't read it and know about the whole Lah and Seef issue.

Oh, while I was in the book store I was flipping through SbS and hit a small portion of the book (no not that portion).

In it Lah was talking to Seef (I can't recall about what - something about assassinations) but he called her by her name. Well there was a small line saying something like: "She liked it when he used her name, it sounded so intimate". Or something to that affect.

Hmm... maybe Seef had a crush on Lah for a while.
