I have to disagree. I find it to be a little less cool than the comic.

Just buy them both and experience a comic with sound effects. :)

Blasters are normal guns that people have as...well...guns. They're on most vehicles too. Lasers are more powerfull, they are found on starships and fighters.

    "Normal" guns are called, "slugthrowers".

Does Empire's End (DEIII) really fit with DE and DEII? Or is it one of those books further down the timeline that happens to have 'Dark Empire' slapped on it?
Because its out of print and the audio book was limited edition! Arrrrrrr!
And when Amazon.com says the DE and DEII audio books are abdriged, is anything worthwhile missing?

Yes it fits, and it finishes up the arc, where DE II ends in a cliffhanger.

Actually, the audio's aren't abridged, they have everything included even including some added scenes.

The energy weapons seen in the movies and books are not lasers, exactly. The bright beam is actually a bunch of plasma encased in a magnetic field:

The laser is projected through the Tibanna gas, exciting it. This excited gas exits the gun as a brightly colored beam. The laser itself, since it is traveling at the speed of light, hits the target well before the plasma, but it doesn't do any damage.

How does one define 'trade paperback'? Is it like a graphic novel, or several comic books glued together?
And are the X-Wing comics bound together, as I wanna read the In the Empire's Service and Blood and Honour TPBs aswell as any other X-Wing comic that features lots o' Imps :)
(Note: ITES TPB contains #21 In the Empire's Service, Chapter 1
    #22 In the Empire's Service, Chapter 2
    #23 In the Empire's Service, Chapter 3
    #24 In the Empire's Service, Chapter 4
and BAH contains #25 The Making of Baron Fel
    #26 Family Ties, Chapter 1
    #27 Family Ties, Chapter 2)

All X-Wing comic mini series other than #1-4 The Rebel Opposition are also released in TPB format. You can check Dark Horse's X-Wing comic page

    More questions!
Evir Derricote is in an X-Wing comic, correct? Well, I've been wondering what he looks like...are there any pics?
Also, is there a planet called Yevetha or is it that the Yevetha live on N'zoth like Humans live on Earth?
Do the 181st have anything on their TIEs to make them obviously the 181st? Like how the Rogues have their logo on their X-Wings?
Is Ysanne Isard still doing time on the Lusankya? Or has she died?

the 181st usually fly interceptors, and they have a set of red stripes on their solar pannels. In X-Wing 8: Isard's Revenge, Isard suposedly died, but it remains to be seen if she stays that way. ;)
