According to Sremmuy (aka Sue Rostoni) in a post here it will take place 31 BBY, a year after TPM.

Ahhhh, good to see this, and that there's still consistency at work between the writers...

But it can't. Jorus C'both was on that, and he appears in the Approaching Storm briefly. I doubt that it was the clone- that would cause too many questions.

Yes, Jorus was not in The Approaching Storm, but he did have a one line cameo in Cloak of Deception.

"According to Sremmuy (aka Sue Rostoni) in a post here it will take place 31 BBY, a year after TPM"

Perhaps Zahn is taking the timeline I sent him into account. I gave him all the refrences and page numbers of Cbaoth's history according to the current literature. He was going to set it at 27 bby, but I showed him the sources that set it just after TPM.

Letter I received from Timothy Zahn:

Thank you for your note of last September and for your C'baoth timeline you put together. As it happens (or perhaps you already knew), I've been contracted by Del REy to write two more Star Wars books, one of which will take place in the years between episodes I and II. Since C'baoth lived during this period, the timeline should prove to be very helpful during the writing of that book.

Thanks again, and thanks for writing.

    Best Wishes, Timothy Zahn.

If he is taking that timeline into account everything will fit together nice and tidy, without throwing out any of the intended information on the time between cbaoth's life events.

Well, this comes out next year, right? It would seem to fit the pattern of the last two years giving us a SW book with a JC'er acknowledgment [face_batting]

Hey Val, remember who reminded you of the COD reference that you put in your timeline? C'mon Zahn, I better be in there too! :p

Darth Ludicrous was mentioned by Elaine Cunningham in Dark Journey (Fred Epsi .. whatever) and Gath was mentioned in one of the Essential Guides by Dan Wallace (IIRC)

Personally it doesn't matter to me if he put my name in the book or not, I'll be just as happy if he doesn't try to screw up/ignore continuity(...or try to discredit other people's works).

Well, Survivor's Quest, which ties into the OBFP, is scheduled to come out in Feb...so the pattern may actually continue...WHETHER YOU LIKE IT OR NOT!

Oh, I'd think it was cool if I had my name in a star wars book. I'm just saying it isn't an important issue to me though, either way. I mean if I was in the book, I'd be think it was cool if it was, but I wouldn't feel disapointment if it wasn't.

To be honest I rather enjoyed Zahn's books, there was just a few things that bugged me in HOT.
