Boba crawls out of the Sarlacc,his armor saves him.Zam was cool,she should be an awesome assassin who we actually see her assassinate someone(Sio Bibble)

While it was probably just a way for GL to show a new alien (I heard the changling idea was though of and implimented in post production)

You are correct GL added it then and the actress didn't even know until she saw the movie. Something like that any way.

another more artistic reason I've read other people say that this was to further one of the main themes of the PT which is that things aren't as they seem. Zam looks like a beautiful woman but she is really an ugly lizard creature. Much like how Palpatine seems to be a nice smiling man (we know how that ends) or how the Old Republic looks all nice from the outside it was festering underneath.

Does anyone remember another female bounty hunter from TPM, watching the podrace from above? She was only in the frame for about 10 seconds, but there was a lot of talk at the time that she would be important later and that George had plans for her. I wonder if she was originally supposed to be Zam Wessel, and if so, why did they change the actress/character?

(If anyone doesn't remember her, she was the pale-skinned alien with a long braid and a red/maroon outfit.)

 

That's Aurra Sing. She's a bounty hunter from the EU who was put in TPM by GL as a nod to EU fans.
