Sure, a lot of people say that Dooku or Palpy ordered the clones under the name of Sifo-Dyas....but maybe Zam Wessell ordered the clones under her changeling facade AS Sifo-Dyas.

Think about it--the cut dialogue has Lama Su talking about wanting to use a Jedi for the template...but if a Jedi ordered the clones, a template would have already been available. So Zam, because she is not a Jedi...suggests using a bounty hunter--she drops old buddy's name to Dooku, who pays the two off for secrecy.

And you have to wonder about Fett executing Wessell as he did--Zam was about to tell his name. Big deal. A galaxy full of trillions of people, and "Jango Fett" isn't that big a deal. But Zam knew more--she knew about Kamino, Dooku, the Seperatists, etc.

And just WHY would Zam know about all this? Because she was involved from the beginning!

Zam was nothing more than a bounty hunter sub-contracted by Jango so he could hide his steps. She was a pawn.

Two key figures wanted Padme dead.

Palpatine wanted her gone because she was against the Military Creation Act which authorizes the creation of an army of the Republic (which Palps wants so he can justify/create a war to then justify him needing to stay in office)

Dooku wants her dead so he can appease Nute Gunray and get the Trade Federation to fully comply and join the Separatist movement and commit their resources to the cause.

Of course, the whole thing is a sham, a fake war, serving Palps alone to further his powers. When Dooku is breathing his last breaths, he realizes this.
