    My biggest problem with the movie is that you had to read the books to really understand it.

    Now, I have only to read So Long, And Thanks for All the Fish, but my friends hadn't read any of Adams' works. It made the movie very strange to them. They didn't understand much of the humor.

    Of course, with Douglas Adams being the most obviously complicated writer since Oolan Kaluphad(forgive the spelling, as it is irrelevant, after Who is this Kaluphad person, anyway?), takes a certain kind of person to enjoy that certain kind of book.

    They should've left in the joke about Fords real name.

    The movie was still very funny.
