Lit Zayne Carrick, Orgus Din, Tyria Sarkin, and Tekli–weak, or just late-bloomers?

Even his stint as a general was short-lived; he served better on the frontlines, lightsaber blazing.

Hey, how'd this conversation get directed toward Luke, anyways? :p

And he gained experience and continued to develop his saber skill during the war. Unless you're attempting to claim that he's remained completely stagnant since ROTJ, and that the same goes for every other lightsaber user remaining stagnant.

Luke's only role in the Rebellion was leading Rogue Squadron? Really? Must've imagined all those other adventures he had while planet side. o_O

I pointed out that the boon of Luke's hero's journey had nothing to do with personal power or combat prowess and everything to do with love and nonviolence.

    Ah.

And while that is true, he serves the Alliance best on the frontlines. The galaxy as a whole he may serve better with love and nonviolence for sure, though.

Luke could have achieved his goal despite being weak in the Force, so to speak. The fact that Vader's personal power was mitigated by his injuries yet he still fulfilled his function as the chosen one also speaks to this point.
