hey guys, I'm trying to create a moving severed arm with in After Effects. I'm trying to figure out how to add a bloody stump to the end of it but I'm not sure how to go about it. Assuming that I already had the stump made in a 3D app, what would be the best way to go about attaching it? Here's a clip without the bloody stump added.

I thought this said Zombie Army. Now i'm disappointed.

The opacity fade-off on the stump is a bit obvious though.

LOL, zombie army is a cool idea. The stump hasn't been added yet.

Pretty nice. The only thing I can possibly see wrong is a shadow on the counter wall(assmuming this is whoever was walking's shadow). Another issue I noticed is that at the edge of the shadow under the zombie arm, it cuts off in a manner that it probably wouldnt. Overall all though, a really good test. The masking did seem consistent, where it wasnt too jumpy, makeing the arm length change over time.

Thanks Bruce. For the masking I attached a rubber band to my arm so I would know where the cutoff point should be.
