Nor would I. My vision was more like a montage of all the choice bits not related to Finn and Poe making out, perhaps set to a catchy 80s pop single, or a new wave revival piece if we're forced to go with something newer in deference to modern audience tastes.

I like to think that Luke lovingly called that sea cow - Aunt Beru.

They don't say Fett and Kenobi are still happening, they say it was inaccurate to say that the standalone Star Wars Story films were on hold. Not quite the same thing.

Yeah, what's actually happened is they finally greenlit my script for Ice Cream Maker Guy: A Star Wars Story.

Well, I just hope it's vanilla enough for the core fan-base.

The only Star Wars film worth making is the twilight years Boss Nass film starring Alfred Molina.

Just make it a 4-way among Rey, Kylo, Poe and Finn. And cut between that and Luke and Mara ****ing until the camera lenses get too steamy.

Well according to The Hollywood Reporter, Boba Fett is still on at the very least.

Before these reports, Making Star Wars also put out a piece saying that Kenobi and Boba Fett were still in development, and what had been cancelled was a project somehow related to Mos Eisley.

If that's true, given how Solo ends, it seems that all that's been stuck in the freezer is Solo 2, with the rest of the spin offs going ahead, albeit in a reconfigured state.

No reason that the Lando movie or Boba Fett or both couldn't have featured a continuation of that story.

If the line about if the iconic Han Solo can’t be a success...

Stinks of them not understanding it.

Or they’re playing their part in continuing the terribleness of Star Wars.

Given that they claim that they don't think Boba Fett's name can sustain a big budget motion picture, my read on that quote is that they're going to use Mangold's pedigree with Logan to their advantage, slash Boba's budget, and try and sell it as the first R-rated Star Wars feature.

In other words; Yes, they're playing their part in continuing the terribleness of Star Wars.

An R rated Fett film would be great.

I just don't see Disney going for it unless it's a Netflix Marvel style show

Who cares? Those nerds liked Deadpool and Logan, and they go nuts for dark and gritty versions of children's characters.

Just give them an R-rated movie focused on that guy in the helmet that nobody really cares about.

If we have to have it, it would surely be better to have the dark violent underworld actually be dark & violent.

As Lucas described his TV show - Deadwood meets The Sopranos.

That kind of tone suits Fett & other mercenaries
