JCC Embrace The FU - Formerly the STAR WARS IS BAD thread

This one was a bit important, though. And it turned out to be the worst scene in the whole saga.

 

...so far.

 

SW has excellent characters. Unfortunately, the PT did a good job of ruining a few of them. Case in point, SuperWatto's last post.

 

If ROTS hadn't made so little sense when I saw It in the theater, I'd never have come here hoping to find answers.

So I guess that makes it the worst of the 3 PT films.

 

It's a disaster who's vastly destructive ramifications are still being felt.

 

To think I - and many others - had been imagining this epic battle on the side of a volcano for over twenty years, only to be treated to the most boring fight scene in all of the six films. Of course, it came with its own smattering of fawning featurettes and gushing glossies telling us how epic this yawn-inducing red smear really was.

 

Because this can never be posted enough.

 

it's like poetry.

 

It rhymes.

 

Jar Jar's the key to all of this.

 

It's so dense.

 

it is obvious that this contest cannot be decided by our knowledge of the force but by our skills with writing convincing dialogue.

 

I learned all a jedi needs to do to win a fight is get to the top of a hill first.

 

And that's the number one reason not to turn to the Dark Side.

That fight really was the anticlimax the prequels deserved. It wouldn't stop. I half expected them to dash alongside each other on bicycles, swinging at each other, play the piano with one hand while fighting with the other, fight each other in their sleep, and so forth. Tom & Jerry, without the laughs.
