She does seem like a nice person to know. There are some odd strains to her thought but I do agree she'd make an interesting acquaintance. Reasonable point, Lord of Vivec.

This is a thread where people vociferously defended the idea of a Han Solo prequel. Clearly quality has nothing to do with people's judgment here. Just don't over-saturate the market. As I said, quantity.

I'd chalk that up to a corrupted cognitive matrix. I don't think anyone here (or anywhere else for that matter) has ever expressed any copious amounts of hype for this thing.

 

I was gonna buy the dvd last week then I discovered that the dvd has no extras , nothing , and I don't have a blu-ray player so I didn't bother . Saved a tenner I guess .

I'm ambivalent towards the movie. I only judge what I see. I don't judge something beforehand.
I clicked on "Play", still ambivalent. Then I saw those ten seconds and I had to admit they were awesome.

Also, I like posting positive stuff.

edit: in fact: what I like is how it's cut to the rhythm. I don't expect Ron Howard to be that hip. So what I like about this trailer says nothing about what I'll think of the movie. Alas.

 

Before any trailers had come out the vast majority of people here could not have cared less about a Han Solo movie. Now that we've seen some footage a few people are now feeling a bit more positive towards it, which I guess in your mind translates to this entire thread "vociferously defending" it.

After watching the trailer, it's pretty obvious your post was more about the editing and the beats, rather than the actual content. But Jabba will probably claim to have watched the trailer, so wouldn't know that.

 

Star Wars trailers are the best. I am an unabashed fan. They fulfil the fundamental mission of Star Wars better than the movies. The quality level is mostly fantastic. They provoke a strong audience response. They are more like Star Wars than many of the movies, and the controversy they generate is mostly well contained. There are a few duds, like the ESB venitian blinds trailer. I'm pretty sure I wept when I first saw TPM trailer A. I know I'm not the first of the trailer fandom, but I'm happy to join your ranks.

 

Chewie doesn't have a good poker Sabacc face which makes sense since we know he's not really good at games because he loses to R2-D2 in Dejarik. It's like poetry.
