The combination of Die (plural article) and "n" at the end of the adjective "letzte" (=last).

Singular would be "Der letzte Jedi", or maybe "Die letzte Jedi" if Jedi is both the masculine and feminine form of the word.

I read, but cannot confirm, the spanish and french versions are also plural.

I'm going to say it means nothing, but the SSA forum probably has a large thread about it.

it can depend on the gender of the Jedi in question. Der Jedi for Luke. Die Jedi for Rey, etc.

 

Normally, female forms have 'in' at the end. For example Arzt is a male physician, Ärztin is a female one. But Jedi is a made-up word, so who knows. Wikipedia uses 'Jedi-Ritterin' (Jedi Knight) to refer to Aayla Secura.

 

This is what you get with an obsessive need to localize everything. I mean, 'Krieg Der Sterne'. War of the stars.
