They really wish they could. Even if he also liked the PT.

 

He didn't, really. He is old like us. When Trevor says Jar-Jar is rock 'n' roll, Stewart would probably say the Tonnika twins were twice as rock 'n' roll.

 

I applaud the efforts of people on this page to prove the PT is awful, with their opinions or evidence to the contrary.

 

While we're talking about the bad movies...

If the prequels weren't awful would they require a 'documentary' trying to persuade people otherwise?



I've enjoyed plenty of 'bad' films in my time, yet I've never seen Alien 3 get a movie dedicated to what an underappreciated masterpiece it truly is. All this does is prove to me that the prequels are an unmitigated disaster that a very small minority want to salvage as a work of art. (And no, I'm not impressed by a testimonial from Kevin Smith)

Thanks for playing prequel fans. This is the greatest possible evidence that you've lost.

"Lost" what, exactly? And I feel like The People vs George Lucas is an example of a film in a similar vein, with intentions much less noble.

It does sound like that's where they're coming from.

 

Is it next to the crack store? Where crack is free? And the store owners go out giving free samples without permission?

 

No, no... they get permission.

 

It seems like an extremely incestuous, stupid movie. Why is there even a conversation about the number of miniatures in the film, let alone having it highlighted in the trailer? No one ever listed as a serious reason the film was flawed: "Needed 10 more miniatures." It is, instead, another volley in an extremely petty, granular debate about the number of practical special effects, such as only would happen in the deepest recesses of a Star Wars message board, and even then only as an ancillary point. The fact that this is one of their major selling points, along with major revelations like "there is symbolism" highlights the complete emptiness and unnecessary nature of this film.

 

So, I thought DD's post was the usual nonsense, but it did make me watch the trailer.

And he's right. He's right.

 

It's time to go all "Room 237" on the prequels and uncover those layers of symbolism and secret meaning that we've overlooked by being so dismissive.
