Opposite for me....I found TCW very good overall, but I think Rebels is average at best.

 

TCW was pretty good compared to the prequels. Rebels is….okay.

 

Nobody is trying to persuade anyone. Just to provide a different point of view.

Usually presenting a point of view in documentary form is meant to persuade. People don't make those things for an echo chamber. Usually.

 

The only documentaries about the quality of the PT that I need are all on Redlettermedia.

 

The only one I've seen (and it covers more than just the PT) is The People vs. George Lucas; I'll only watch it again if I'm drunk.

It is merely fans showing passion for stuff they like. Hardly evidence of "admitting defeat."

Why must fandom be this never-ending war?

 

It proves to me that people like yourself have not learned to let go of your moronic hatred and BULLYING of these movies, George Lucas, the fans and everything in between. (Is it surprising that it's own fans never learn the key life lessons of the movies??)

So what if it is trying to persuade the public that the movies are worth it?? Their are several artists whose work is largely misunderstood during their time and later become accepted for the work of art it truly is. This happened to Van Gogh. So did it happen to El Greco. Also to Claude Monet, and it has happened to many movies throughout history (including even ESB to some extent).

Check me later in 20 years when these movies are hailed for the true masterpiece it really is and you'll be sorry you wasted so much of your life being angry at a series of movies aimed at kids who where released more than a DECADE ago.

If you don't find that to be sad, I don't know what is.

 

Quit bullying the movies, guys. They have feelings!
