It is a wildly amazing coincidence. But yes, Episode One is the best of the PT. It has the best VFX of all the three too as well.

JoinTheSchwarz, on his own, I don't blame little Annie much. He's ok. But, he is little future Vader. And that is inexcusable. And yes, because of that he is more annoying than Binks. Binks actually has a bit of an arc. It's a stupid, clumsy arc but an arc.One more reason Episode One is the best of those prequels.

Darth_Invidious, while I used to agree with you on Jar Jar, I think a enhanced special editionyprequel trilogy with a less annoying Binks and better Anakin would work wonders. Oh, and make the pod race actually have a real dramatic point.

TPM is by far the worst of the saga thanks to Jar Jar and little Anakin, which are in the same movie that tries to also be mature by showing complex political maneuvering and economics. It's just all over the place.

 

I disagree. It has the most consistent and intact storytelling from beginning to end. You might not like it but it actually has a beginning middle and end for most of the characters involved. It is AOTC that really cucks it up.

The pacing in TPM is fine up until they escape Naboo….then it slows. The pod race brings it to a standstill and it doesn't really pick up again with any momentum until they leave Coruscant. One of the problems is the fake antagonists, the Trade Federation, just sit there waiting. I've always thought it would've been great to combine the TF's invasion from TPM with the threat to assassinate Padme from AOTC into one film so there is some danger to Padme as she travels to Tatooine and then Coruscant.

 

The Coruscant scenes are the worst part of the whole movie.

And I don't hate TPM. Best of the prequels, even if that's slim pickings, and I'd rather watch some parts of it than some parts of ROTJ.

The Coruscant parts really are painfully sluggish. I like watching Palps manipulate everyone but man, it takes ages to get anywhere.

What percent do you think that of Coruscant will we seen in Rogue One?

I was surprised to hear on Collider's Jedi Council (Dec. 1st video) that their percentages were so high. I'd say 20% chance we'll see Coruscant, maybe 50% that we'll hear the name Coruscant. I'd give the same percentages to Tatooine as well.

 

I hope to **** we see neither. I am sick of this small galaxy. If they shove Tatooine into another SW film I will throw my Rylo Ken wristwatch at the screen like a little ***** and stalk off just like him.

 

Yet TPM still has one of the top 3 greatest Lightsaber duels of all time.

AOTC has the best cinematic depiction of a Geonosian arena. Doesn't say much

 

AOTC also has the best depiction of a whiny petulant borderline psychotic padawan and his enabling paramour.

It also has the best sand getting everywhere.
