Memph, TN Zoo Lights! -- Friday, Dec. 19, 2008

Our December get-together will be Friday, December 19 for Zoo Lights at the Memphis Zoo.

We'll meet at the front gate of the zoo at 6:30pm. Tickets are $7. If you have a zoo membership, the cost is $5 per ticket.

We'll grab dinner after our trip to the zoo. Any suggestions on restaurants?

I saw the National Lampoon Xmas when I was in NY last month. And a picture of some house covered in Xmas lights that reminded me of you.

 

Providing I don't have to work, I will so be there! In fact...I'll go ahead and ask off. ^_^

Don't forget that Zoo Lights is next Friday. The weather forecast for next Friday is looking a bit iffy at the moment. Rain = No Zoo Lights

If the weather doesn't cooperate with us, are there any alternatives we'd like to consider or just meet for dinner?

 

That would be fine. If could get a count by that morning, and if everyone's cool with it, I could make us reservations for Nagasaki. (Everyone get coupon! I mean... Everyone go get a coupon.)

 

Where are those coupons again?

 

They always have them in the Commercial Appeal's Playbook section on Friday.

Funny that Emma and Rachel were just asking to go to Nagasaki this weekend.

 

Well, right now it looks like Friday's going to be 44 degrees with a 10% chance of rain, so I'm going to go ahead and get our tickets online so I don't forget... I think the Entertainment book has Nagasaki coupons, too, right?

 

Do we want to make reservations for Nagasaki at 8:30 pm, then, or do we want to go elsewhere?

I think I'll buy our tickets when we get there.

 

I'm good with Nagasaki at 8:30. We can always just go there if the weather is bad.

I'll make the reservations tomorrow for Nagasaki. I'm looking at a count of 11 people right now based on the list above. Is this still correct?

I went ahead and got my tickets online. Gotta love click and print, and unlike Ticketmaster, you don't have to pay $4.00 to do it. (I hate Ticketmaster with a passion.)

 

*Sigh*

Mike has to work 2 - 10 pm tomorrow night. (We thought he had to work 10 - 6a, then that changed, then it was 7a to 2p, now it's 2 - 10 pm) Remind me to tell you about his first work of week.

I guess I'll go on and do the online thing, and go through will call. It'll just be me.

 

That sucks, Roo. We all have to find a better get-rich-quick scheme. This "working" thing isn't... well... working.

That was a lot of fun. And I'm glad the weather cooperated.

I wish we could do Graceland some Christmas as a group, but we'll all have to save up. It's around $30 just to see the mansion and the lights.
