Zsinjis Power Grab

Zsinj seemed to let most planets keep their own governments, as long as they offered him money and resources. In return he promised to protect them from the Rebels.

I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of systems saw Zsinj as their last hope at the time. He seemed to be the only one who was taking the fight to the New Republic, the Empire seemed to have fallen apart quickly and was letting the NR roll right over them.

 

It would seem to me that the 20 capital ships of the warlords fleet are all that are avaliable for operations, the rest are used in planet defence and convoy protection. Think, a third of the galaxy with at least one ship in a system to protect it = a lot of ships.
