Welcome! We have a new member joining us, her named is Stacy. She has been on the forums, today was her first meeting.
We received a thank you letter from Alzheimer’s Association for our participation at the Memory Walk on Saturday, September 29th 2007. Several costumed members walked the track at Red Wing Park in Virginia beach to show their support for the Alzheimer’s Association.
The council is currently reworking charter and bylaws to reflect the changes that the Tidewater Alliance is going through. More updates will be announced shortly.
We have revised our club ‘Purpose’ and it now reads::
The Tidewater Alliance is a Star Wars Fanforce in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia. We are a group of enthusiastic fans who gather together to share and promote all aspects of the Star Wars Universe in a family friendly environment.
The Tidewater Alliance has a variety of interests which include attending conventions, costuming, prop building, participating in charity events, comics, EU literature, and much, much more.
We hold monthly meetings, as well as annual picnics, seasonal parties, and other social gatherings to promote friendship and to contribute to our surrounding communities.

Events are now posted on the forum and in the calendar; which is located on the left navigation bar on the website. If you have any comment or feedback please post in the forums.

If it is an official TA function it will be labeled as so at headline.
We have several upcoming events::
-Zoo Boo – There has been interest expressed in this event but no one has posted in the forum thread yet.
-Toys for Tots - November 17th, 2007
We were invited to this event by the RL and 501st. It will take place at the Disney store at Lynnhaven Mall in Virginia Beach
-The deadline has passed for the Illumination Parade, we will try to attend this event next year.
-A Halloween Party will be held on the 19th at Rick and Dawn Kerman’s new house. Theme: Toga!
-Children’s Museum Event – October 27th, 2007

-Ravencon will take place in April 2007 , we have been offered a table if we choose to attend.
-Shaak Ti – Will talk to Eagle 97 about taking a trip to St. Jude
-Star Wars Play – Interest – See Allen
