With the recent changes to the Tidewater Alliance, we feel that a new purpose is needed. In the efforts to correct and update our Charter, we have changed our purpose. No longer are we strictly focused on costuming, we now focus on all areas of fandom.
While almost all members of the TA have costumes, it must be said that costuming is one of the biggest subgroups, but it is not the only subgroup or sub interest within the group, we encourage all fans of Star Wars and Sci-Fi in general to come and check us out. You will find that we have a tremendous fellowship, and encourage a great time.
The Tidewater Alliance is a Star Wars Fanforce in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia. We are a group of enthusiastic fans who gather together to share and promote all aspects of the Star Wars Universe in a family friendly environment.
The Tidewater Alliance has a variety of interests which include attending conventions, costuming, prop building, participating in charity events, comics, EU literature, and much, much more.
We hold monthly meetings, as well as annual picnics, seasonal parties, and other social gatherings to promote friendship and to contribute to our surrounding communities.
