Hey all you lovely Canadians. Wondering if you could give me a little info? I've been searching the net, and searching Google Earth to get some info on an address for a company in Markham. Can anyone possibly help me out? Now, I'll be upfront and say that I think this company is a total scam, but if I can get some more proof, it sure would be nice to get it back into their faces.
Ok - the company states their address is:
4981 Highway #7 East, Unit 12A, suite 261
Markham, Ont.
Now - in searching Google, I am finding a TON of companies in that building, and many of them refer to their address as a "box" and not a "suite". This has me believing the address is really a post office or a mail center that rents postal boxes. Can anyone confirm where that address points?
Another adress, from the Candian BBB, is:
208 - 620 Alden Rd
Markham, Ont.
Now, best I can tell via Google Earth, this is a strip mall or maybe just a small section of offices. I thought maybe a home address, but if Google Earth is accurate, it doesn't appear to be that.

I could probably check that Alden address, it's just up the road from my workplace. What do you need to know? what company is listed at that suite/unit number?

Supposedly, they are a law office. But from all the research I have done, this lawyer deals in some very shadey and illegal activity.

I'm just planning on putting this guy out of biz and getting his law license revoked.
Here's what I know: he buys up old debt. The vast majority of this debt was originally obtained illegally (spyware, trojan dialers, stuff like that). Then, he makes an attempt to collect these debts, that have been written off because they are fake. Him and his company do NOT follow US or Canadian fair practice laws in the attempt to collect a debt. If you ask for verification of the debt, he will scream and threaten court if you don't wire him the money by that afternoon. He expects a couple grand in payment, when if you do research, the original fraud was usually a couple hundred bucks. He threatens to call DCFS and have your kids taken away. He has even spoken to someone's child and told the kid that their mommy was going to jail.
He is evil. He is corrupt. He is a blemish to some of the quality debt collection agencies out there. Hey - no one wants to get into trouble, but it happens. However, many of the companies do things very legite and are very helpful - this guy is a TOTAL crook!

Hey Jeff,
Sorry for the delayed response. I passed by the area last week and didn't even see any number beyond 600, but after talking with a friend who used to work in that same complex, he let me know that there were other building numbers in the complex. So last night I took another drive, found 620, but there was no suite above #201
So looks like the address is bogus.

Maybe.
I'm gonna contact others that list their address at 4981 Highway #7 East, suite xxx Markham, Ont. and see if they can tell me if that is a postal box.
