grey_starr wants to have a Star Wars themed Halloweem party at his place.

Well more of let's decorate the garage and house area for the neighbourhood kids. I think there is also a bit of one upmanship against the neighbours.

In any case Dan will be in his armour. I will be bringing the droids out.

We were also trying to think of what else to build that we can put in the garage. Any Ideas? We figure a scale X-Wing would be too big and if we scale it to fit the garage it would be too small.

We also wanted something Star Wars recognizable. We came down with the idea of building a full size speeder bike and some large scale XWing and Tie Fighters to go on the roof.

Building sessions will be at grey_starr's place in Milton and will be starting soon if anyone is interested in helping out.

Stay Tuned

How about something like Luke's speeder? That might look cool sitting in the garage. lol

Sadly, I live nowhere near Milton and have no reasonable means of getting there. The progress so far looks so promising. Wanna move to my neighbourhood? wink We need a Star Wars house at Halloween around here. Somewhere where the neighbours won't ask, "you're dressed as what, little boy? Oh... never heard of a 'Dark Mall.' How cute. It must have taken your mom a long time to do all of that make up." My son has adopted a tradition of dressing up as one SW character or another, three years running (Boba Fett, Darth Maul, dark side Anakin, and wants to be a clone trooper this year), and would go ballistic if he saw a house decked out in such Star Warsy Goodness. Maybe we can do some out of town trick-or-treating this year.

By chance have you contacted Global News in Toronto? They have an advertisement during their 6:00 news to most the most creatively decorated house for Hallowe'en...I think it is a $500 prize. I had this info passed on to me by a friend so I haven't seen the details myself, but it might be worth looking into.

It is possible but we would have to get everything ready early Halloween to meet the 5pm deadline.

Especially if people are bringing in props and costumes to decorate the house.
