It looks like tomorrow we might actually get some rain. Our drought has gotten pretty bad. The other day I drove by one river that has receded about 30 feet from it's normal bank. There was a guy out there driving around on his ATV and his dog was chasing him.

We have, but Jada in on the other side of the country. She used to live here, she moved. She still keeps in touch with us.
Copy that. Nice to meet you all by the way. I just found out about the Tucson Fan Force not to long ago through the Star Wars.com website forums. Figured I'd check you guys out and see what you're all about. May have to come to a meeting sometime and meet some of you when I get back from Iraq.

Best way to find out about us is by reading the boards and the website. Basically we are here to serve, interact, and have fun with the community.
We all got to this place from our mutual love of Star Wars (and other shared interests). We are also all friends to the point of almost an extended family (we even bicker like family sometimes). Depending on what your interest is we have a lot to offer in many ways, from a casual fan to the hardcore fan.
Are you serving in the military in Iraq? If so I want to add a heartfelt "Thank you", you guys are greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure if I'm actually allowed to say where I am at in Iraq in a forum setting, but I'll tell you I am not at Camp Anaconda. Perhaps once I return State-side I could say. Yes, I am in the military, and no thanks are necessary, I love my job and am glad to be in service to our country. I've been reading these forums and viewed what I could of your website, and you all seem like a cool bunch. I'm not really a costume person, and I've never even heard of Mini's, but I am an avid SW book reader, and charity work is always good, so I may have to join you on some of your outings.

Books rock. My family are all avid readers . . . even though most of my husband's reading is done on the pot.

I think the prior two posts need clarification. It might sound rather risqué to an outsider.
We go on trips together to do charity work or just a fun "field trip". When we do so we tend to stay at a mutual friends house or get a hotel room and all stay together to save money. When we armor up and do a charity event we tend to get dressed in the same room (male and females separate). Nothing odd, just sounds that way.
As FSoS said, we are close knit group. We trust and respect each other.

LOL, no worries, I didn't think anything weird of it. I should be back in the States on the 21st hopefully. Everything is subject to change though. I see you guys are having a meeting that weekend, I doubt I'll be able to make it to that one since I'll be trying to get my life back in order, but if you have one in October, I'll try and make that. I've wanted to check out Toyboxx, but its on the opposite side of town from me, so laziness usually set in and I didn't go. He he Now I'll have an excuse...
