Mace was trying to subdue Palpatine at first, but when it became apparent that there was no way Palpatine would let himself be arrested, Mace had to attack. When Anakin came in and saw Mace about to kill Palpatine, Palpatine acted like a baby and twisted the truth so that Anakin would do what he wanted. Mace didn't cause that. I do have to agree though, Mace could have put a little more faith in Anakin...if Mace had shown more approval of Anakin or more faith in his abilities, Anakin might have been a little more loyal to the Jedi. After all, if you feel like you are not appreciated or important to a group (i.e. the Jedi), why would you want to stick around?

David (my middle name). I hate my first name, too many vowels
2. What’s one of your worst habits?
Smoking, but it’s an addiction, not a habit. Habit- Biting my finger nails, cursing.

Coins, give me something to “fiddle” with. I have a hard time staying still.
4. If you could change one thing about your physical appearance what would it be and why?
Height. Simplest answer, easier to find clothes.
