Hey, I did apply. Now there's all these hoops I have to jump through first. 
It might take a bit but when U get the "U R in" e-mail it's quite worth it.
U'll get in with Revan, it's jut a matter of time.
PS.. anyone talk 2 Beth about this? Is she going into the DSG and bypassing Tucson?

Beth is the UA officer and scout trooper who I think was at the last Con, or maybe the one before? Shes the blonde that helped everyone into their armor at te ITT tech battlefront tourney
She seems more interested in DSG events, which is fine, to each their own

A long O time ago we had the "you'll never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy" as our banner. I remember a thing with an AT-AT appoaching the downtown skyscrapper.
I don't know about you but as a kid I always related to Tatooine cuz Tucson was so friggin' hot and Mos Eisley until Mos Espa came along was a city/spaceport and what is Tucson. Phoenix is too big for a Mos Eisley. And yes we're a fast growing city but it's really just a bunch of crap everywhere.

That's when I joined on the boards, I had no clue anyone else in Tucson liked Star Wars still. I had a different user name back then (I forgot the login many years ago). I was going to ask to re-use tne banner on the website (and the one with santa hats on the AT_ATs) but I didn't know who to ask if it's OK to reprint the images.
As far as crap everywhere, it's just housing being built in the county, not much being built within the city limits.
I still find "Jundland Wastes" outpost quite amusing and lyrical.

Someone brought up the rebel legion name possible conflict. "local" rebel legion outpost name is NOT Jundland Wastes but "Mountain Base" and covers Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, Utah, Arizona, and New Mexico with 68 members in it total.

How's about "FORT TUSCAN". Its simple, not too many letters, is similar to Tucson and has a rustic rough history associated with it. This due to the story of that fort on Tattoine that was raided by the Sand People. Plus its different from what's been suggested until now. Just an idea. You can no now.

I have to re-take the close-ups of Revan. The first set didn't come out very well. I was also wondering if someone could PM Thomas Schoelar (sp?) email address to me. I upgraded my pc and have lost all my contacts, among other technical issues right now. Now, I can't post to the DSG board from any pc in my house, and I can only post here still on my husband's.

OK some confusion. I was in fact right that we can NOT become an outpost or have outpost status. We will be a squad of the DSG but as a squad we are required to have a minimum of 10 members. We fall under the class of the DSG and "outlying areas" If we were ever big enough to be an outpost we would actually have 2 garrisons in AZ not outpost and garrison.
So are we going to be the Jundland wastes squad? Kinda changes the perspective if you ask me! We are close to 10 members and if we get Amber and Michelle into IO's we will be even closer! Oh wait we also need to get Joe in!!!

Crap in a hat! How did I not see this conversation going on for the past month?!? I'm sending my helmet in for a lens upgrade! Count me in!! I attended Mesa's Comicon in January and Lance and Bill okay'd my armor and took my member photos. I have applied with the 501st but did not get anything back yet. From what I understand, DSG just voted on officers and Thomas is no longer the membership person.
If you're looking for 10 people though, I'll fill one of those slots! Tucson would be much easier for me to make than Phoenix. I'm still going to be limited on how involved I can get due to my work schedule and being stationed out here in the moisture farms quadrant of Bantha Butte, but I desperately want to armor up as much as possible!
How many of this "sonora squad" are Tucson residents? I recognize some of the names, (Dustin, Frank, Chris, Revan, Imp Guard guy) but not all of them. What are the different costumes that we would have in the group?
This is very exciting! Let me know what you need from me and I'll keep you updated on my membership appvoval.

How about that fellow up on the North side with the special effects studio. I can't remember his name, but he was a Custom Desert Mandalorian Supercommando for Howl-O-Ween. He's got some dark-side uniforms doesn't he?
