very nice. So that would be six (with Luke and Yoda) of us for sure... if we have more we would need an extra vehicle.
Now I am going to turn my computer over to Luke for a few moments... he wants to say a few words to all of us.. I am a bit concerned.. I think Yoda has been poking on him with the gimmer stick a bit today while I was at the Komen Office.. I know Luke asked me not to leave him here alone tomorrow if I planned on going back to the Komen office again.. so I am in fact going to take Luke with me in the morning when I go there. In any event.. Luke wants to talk.. so........
Finally..... Han would say you fella's have it rougher here than he does on the falcon with Leia and Threepio both talking at the same time.
I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you for having me here in the great southwest of Tucson, Arizona. I have been looking forward to this part of the Great US of A for a very long time. I have to admit.. I never thought I would want to spend much time anywhere that remotely reminded me of home.. but being here.. it makes me feel good, I feel closer to Aunt Beru and Uncle Owen even though they are gone and obviously even when they were alive they were many many light years away. There's just something about this place that makes me feel that just over the mountain could be part of Tatooine that I have yet to see and may still see in my future. It's an honor to be here and there is so much that I want to see and do. I have a list, and if you don't mind I would like to just give you an idea of a bit of what is on it and see what you think we can fit in while I am here.
First off, I want to meet Wyatt Earp and Doc Holliday. Now I am told the best place to accomplish this goal is to head on over to Tombstone. This evening when I met RebelMom she very graciously offered to drive Yoda, me and a few other members of the Two Suns Fan Force to Tombstone this weekend, she also mentioned a few of you have mentioned you would like to join us, I am honored by this and can't wait to meet you, I would suggest that it would be easiest to meet here at my host's home, which is the home of Cathiecat and MasterJediDragonSir, I might also let you know don't be afraid... the K.A.T.S. are not Imperials.. I was worried at first.. I thought I had stepped into a trap when I first arrived.. having already discovered a few Imperial K.A.T.S. at other Fan Force Stations around the System I was very wary of these three.. but it seems that Tiger, Shadow, and Shaak (whom I am told is actually named for a Jedi of the Republic my father served with as a Jedi Knight along with Obi Wan)are actually quite harmless and intelligent, to the point that on several occasions at night when I have been attempting to sleep Tiger has somehow managed to open my bedroom door and come into my room and on one particular night even chased Yoda onto the balcony right when he was getting ready to have me do some extra meditation sessions .. for that I must say I am a bit more grateful than perhaps I should be, after all this is part of my Jedi training time and I am much in need of all the meditation I can get.. but I have to confess.. it was my first night here in Tucson and my hosts were entertaining another friend who was leaving town the next morning, she was a "Poker" Player just starting a semi-professional career in what is called Texas Hold em. Quite similar to Sabaac in fact, Han would have enjoyed it for sure, in any event Cathiecat's Poker playing friend Iva did not wind up winning on this night.. so afterwards they decided to take her out to relax. We went to a local hang out. Mos Eisley had nothing on this place.. turns out in fact it has quite the reputation, it is the oldest cantina in the entire town of Tucson, Peggy, the 74 yr old lady, with the dark sunshades on, behind the counter, that took care of us, explained to me that the place had opened in 1934, the year after Prohibition was repealed. This place had what one would call a lot of character and it also had what MasterJediDragonSir called, a billiard table, and MasterJediDragonSir taught me how to play what's called a game of pool on it. First we played a game of 8Ball, and then we played some very interesting looking men a different game of pool called cut throat, pool is played with a bunch of colored balls on a waist high green table and you knock them around with a white ball using a stick, the object is your trying to get the colored balls into these pockets on the corners and sides of the table.. I have a feeling Han would simply love this game.. Chewie would as well.. I am wondering if I can fashion one for us once I get back, perhaps with Wedge's help I could, I will have to see if there is some way to get Wedge a message about it and he can get started.. we'll do it as a surprise for Chewie and Han. It was very enjoyable and I am quite good at it.. In fact I would have to say that I am good enough to give a go to anyone in the Fan Force and go out again while I am here in town and play some more if anyone is up for the challenge. In any event it leads me to my next point, that Yoda felt was the need for my midnight meditation that Tiger saved me from. Playing pool made me thirsty and I asked for some water.. I guess water in the southwest is not what it is in other places..I am not quite sure what transpired after I drank the water.... I began to feel something a bit funny in my stomach.. and then a bit light headed.. then I began to feel the force move in ways that I never knew it could..I may never be able to explain it.. but after a few moments someone started screaming and the pool table started levitating and then all of the sudden Master Yoda began to beat on my head with that darn gimmer stick and then Cathiecat started hollering "ya'll.. oh my gawd... Ya'll.. somebody help him" and then MasterJediDragonSir reached for my arms, shook me gently, and said "Luke, get a hold of yourself".. Immediately of course I calmed down.. the table gently settled back to the floor and the amazing thing was pretty much immediately the whole bar went back to what it had been doing .. just like that... reminded me of the time Obi Wan cut off that guy's arm in Mos Eisley's Cantina.. So whoever it was said the Force isn't present on Earth.. they havn't been to Tucson, Arizona.. cause I levitated that pool table and after Cathiecat stopped her hollering no one even looked twice... Iva even said she just couldn't figure out why Yoda was using the gimmer stick on my head instead of Cathiecat's. Go figure....In any event.. MasterJediDragonSir thinks that I might have gotten food poisoning from the restaurant food earlier in the night, he said that sometimes happens at places when they don't keep the food the right temperature, that kind of thing never happens on Tatooine or Hoth.. that's for sure. All I know is that after that night it took a few days for the effects of the event to wear off, so you will understand why my first weekend in town I had to take it easy and no one really saw much of me around and I failed to get a chance to blog in my myspace or anything. I am making an extra long entry tonight to make up for that though. To put it mildly, I hope to never encounter anything again that does to me what that Habanero Chicken Tamale did, and I am fairly certan that Master Yoda would not take kindly to my ever ingesting it again either. So now you know the rest of that story.
On Sunday I want to climb what is called "A" Mountain and Sentinel Peak and take some photos. I might also check out a few of the Saguaro Cactus in the area, Cathiecat told me that these great cacti don't even begin to grow arms until they are at least 100 years old. I hope to get a few photos of those.
I also really would like to see what I am told is your Boneyard where all of your old military fighters go. Cathiecat has never been and she really feels I would have a much better time if I went to this venue with a few of the men of the Fan Force.. so while I am unsure of what all this might entail I am hoping a few of you might be willing to take this responsibility on. Cathiecat did say though that she did some research on the tour and that since 9/11 they have cut back on the type of tour it is and it is only a bus tour now, you don't get to get off the bus at all and you only see the planes (planes?? this word is still foreign to me after all this time) through tinted glass. She was wondering perhaps if I might enjoy it more just from the fenceline.. she thought the men of the group would be better prepared to discuss this with me than she would.
DialSwiftJustice, I am told that you are the person to see to discuss any chance of checking into the possibility of looking into the technology of the imperial forces.. this knowledge could really be helpful to the Rebellion and I am truly hoping you are willing and ready to share this with the Rebel Forces at this time.. I am told you have a S.W.A.T. AT and I have to say I would very much like the opportunity to see this and report on this when I reach the Rebel Base. What are the chances you are going to allow me this. Even five minutes.. if I just had someone run me by might be the chance of a lifetime that could save the entire Universe, a quick photo would be awesome as well.
Now this next thing.. what are the chances.. I mean.. would anyone mind if I .. well.. not just me really.. in fact.. I don't really have to even be there.. except for my training.. I guess I have to be.. you see.. Yoda.. Yoda wants to learn to make Cinnabons.. he really really wants some Cinnabons.. we were passing through some mall in another town and he smelled this incredible smell and we were running late and he has been talking about Cinnabons ever since and as soon as we got to Tucson he asked Cathiecat about it and when he found out that not just one.. but two of your members work for Cinnabon.. he became so ecstatic.. well you can only imagine.. so... what are our chances of spending a bit of time behind the counter at Cinnabon?
For the moment the only other thing I can really think of is that earlier today on my morning run I saw some man sitting on a street corner.. he was sitting on the ground wearing a brightly colored Poncho and what I have since learned is a Sombrero. One of the things I have been doing on my journey around the Universe is collecting unique items and I have to say that these two items are now on my simply must have list. If you know where I can find these two items in my size by all means please let me know.

For anyone that want to join us in our trip to Tombstone we leave at 9:30am from my house saturday morning.. that is in the morning.. on saturday the 10th of March. We still have room for two people one person in the car. or certainly another car to follow us up.

today we went to Tombstone with Backpacking Luke
tomorrow (sunday March 11th) we are going up A Mountain and on Fourth Avenue to ride the trolley and see what else there might be and perhaps San Xavier del Bac Mission as well. We are meeting at my house at 1pm for anyone that wants to come along.
I have been asked a bit more about why we are doing this.. so...to give you a bit more information on Traveling Backpacking Luke, Luke is a 1995 applause edition of a 10" non-articulated Luke with Yoda strapped to his back from Empire Strikes Back on a whirlwind tour of the Continent. He is currently in Tucson and the surrounding area, staying with our Fan Force sightseeing, taking pictures and collecting things for a package that accompanies Luke around the continent (possibly world) As for the WHY.. Because it is fun.. today while we were in Tombstone I felt like I was at Disney World with RebelMom, Hal, Luke and Yoda. Then last night MrWookie came over and we made plans for tomorrow .. of course there is another reason to join us for taking Luke and Yoda on their excursions.. that is that when Luke's tour is over he will be auctioned off for a charity with his goodies he has ecrued along the way. He will only be here for a few more days, and we are hoping to have several more fan force members get a chance to join us on our sightseeing excursions with him. If you have ANY free time this week at all.. please post and let us know and we can make plans to go and take Luke.

We have Luke till Monday!! Hurrah!! Next question!! Who wants to go with me to take Luke to see the Blue Angels this weekend at Areospace and Arizona Days at Davis Monthan AFB!! They do autographs and pictures and it is free admission!! Luke can get his picture with the Blue Angels! It starts at 11am.. but we should arrive early to get good spots and it lasts till 4pm. Jake is even going to get to go!!

Hi, CC: I and the family will be out at DM for the show. We hope to be there for the gate opening around 9:00. Perhaps we'll see you, Jake, Luke and Yoda out at the show too. I'll keep my eyes peeled for you and Jake.

Luke had a wonderful time with us here in Tucson. He has now gone on to his next destination in Buffalo New York! He asked that I wish everyone well as he and Yoda go on their way and give a special thank you to all those folks that took the time to take him out and show him around and he absolutely loved getting to make Cinnabons!! Make sure in a few days to catch his Myspace blog and photobucket sites to see what all he did while in town with us.
