Minis I have gotten, Good enough or enough variety to play? I just can't find a starter set.

Well, you have a Vader, so that's pretty dang good. It looks to me like you can make a 100 point squad from what you have there. Normally we keep squads to a faction (Rebel, Republic, Separatist, Imperial, Fringe, etc) but we'll probably have to just have random squads so you don't have to buy a whole case or something.
The Starship Battles set is entirely different from minis. They sort of marketed them as part of Star Wars Minis, but they aren't meant to be mixed in gameplay as they have different rules. Personally, Starship Battles doesn't really appeal to me because it's all ships, and I prefer the little characters.
This: http://www.swshoebox.com/ is a great website for keeping track of your minis. It doesn't look like they have Rebels and Imperials up on there, but all the other sets are, including Starship Battles. Once you put in all the minis you have, you can go to the squad builder and build squads based on what you have in your own inventory. You can choose the point value, the faction (or mixed-faction), and save it under a name on your account. It's pretty rad.

That's funny. I registered this morning, and I LOVE the site. I put a couple armies up there, the 100 pt ones are the noes that I actually own all the figures in (or I will when they come in the mail - I bought them on eBay).

Before you go out collecting everyone of these known to man...(which I am SURE you will do)
Please get rid of the 5000 magic cards that are at the house (NOT my red and white decks), the three to five Warhammer cases and all of the rest if the stuff that you never play with... One exception would be if you USE (in actual game play) the items six times in a rolling 12 month period.
AS for the rest of you...
If you guys werent such darn great people, there would be some SERIOUS issues here, but as it is y'all are great so I will stick to my idle threats.
Maybe I should start collecting something too?? Any ideas?

Finally! Our freakin' Ewok Hangglider finally got here! Now we have 60/60 for A&E.  Wheeee!
No one has really replied about whether 7/14 @ 2 pm @ Hard Castle Games is okay. I was going to stop by there this weekend and check out the store and see if that is still okay with them. So are we on for next Saturday or what??
