dialswiftjustice posted:Yes these issues need to be addressed, however I dont think the next meeting would be it, as the CR is JUST getting elected, I think the Cr should be able to have a little time (ie: August meeting) to examine the issues, hear from us individually, and respond accordingly, and it would give us as members a chance to see the new regime in action for a bit, to see if many of these problems and issues get resolved just by virtue of having a new, and more involved/diverse CR (which I think they will), and offices with defined duties. I respectfully beg to differ. Chris is not walking into this situation like some dewy-eyed virgin. He is very much aware of all that has been said and written, and I believe he will be able to impartially keep things on course and not let them get out of hand. I think that any delays will simply allow this situation to fester and only make the discussion worse when it would come up. I am also afraid of the meeting devolving into a fight, which it very well could, when we could possibly have new members show up (We advertised the next meeting way in advance) and scare them away with bickering. I have no intention of placing blame or pointing fingers, nor am I looking for any apologies or chances to say, "I'm RIGHT, you're WRONG.". I am ONLY interested in trying to establish an "activities meeting" and a "planning meeting, plus trying to iron out all the problems that are going to result from making this idea mesh with the rules in our charter(that part is DEFINITELY going to be BORING AS THE DEUCE!). Alot of feelings were hurt, and many of us still want to be heard, I think many or our opinions have been voiced on the previous threads. I think any issues still lingering need to be brought up, but maybe not at the next meeting, but thats my 2 cents. My feelings were hurt by one particular statement, which claimed a situation existed that I was not aware of. My first reaction was to find out if this accusation had any merit. I have been unable to find any facts supporting this statement, so I can only surmise that the statement made is blatently untrue. If the individual who made this statement wishes to believe it is true, that is up to her, but she will be believing in a lie, and no matter how many times the statement is repeated, it will never have any veracity behind it.
