hey everyone,
just wanted to let you all know that as of sunday, i am now an Ordained Bishop of Jediism at the Temple of the Jedi Order.
just wanted to share the good news lol

thanks guys
well it means that i can now Ordain Ministers of the Force for one. also its a position of higher rank in the Clergy, and its setting the preliminary circumstances for me to build a Temple here in Tucson. there is already a Rivers Temple being started in Mich. with the recent purchase of 30 to 90 acres (not sure about the exact number) and as soon as several acres in Texas are sold, i will have funding for land here. hopefully near the picture rocks area is where im thinkin but we shall see what i have to work with in time.

If I may step on Bylar's toes and explain as I understand it. He can do it better but I thought I'd try to help.
Ya know how in 2001 when Australia did a census and 14% (I think that was the number) said “Jedi” under Religion?
Well it’s a real religion Down under now and it is here in the USA also. Its recognized by the US government with all amenities given to it just the same as any other organized religion.
From what I understand it’s not unlike some eastern religions or beliefs.

o wait i think John actually registered with the Temple back before the split into the TOTJF (Temple of the Jedi Force) and the TOTJO (Temple of the Jedi Order) but you would have to ask him if he actually follows the Path. its a difficult path indeed, and if you suceed, then usually no one knows if done correctly. (u know like at the post office stamp unveiling lol) we are always there but usually never seen.

TOTJO has had a texas non-profit 501c(1) corporate charter for over a year and a half now, and the Rivers Temple Church is just gettin started in Mich. where they have just purchased approx 90 acres. there are an estimated 400000 Jedi in England according to their census and many others around the world. we have many members from all corners of the globe and we are now starting to make physical what was only virtual before. the concept of The Living Force was not just concieved by George Lucas, in the mid to late 1800's a man named John W. Keely actually coined that phrase. google his name and see what you find lol, he was a great man and Jedi. many discoveries we still use today came from this man such as ultrasound, and many other great scientists and inventors such as Tesla, Edison, and A. Einstien were inspired by J. Keely's work. also the teachings of Alan Watts and Joseph Campbell which also inspired Lucas when doing the films are a large part of the ideals. as Damien said the eastern phylosiphies are a big part as well. the Zen teachings and many Martial Arts phylosiphies play a large part as well. it is an all accepting religion that anyone can be a part of and still have thier own set of core beliefs. we have Jewish Jedi and Christian Jedi and Quaker Jedi and Islamic Jedi and what ever you believe is great as long as you believe in the Force as well.
i do want to give a word of warning regarding both sites. there are many who are still searching for thier Path and as we are all still human, there are some at both sites that give way to tendencies of the Darksided nature. a few months ago there was a split in the membership when the TOTJF was formed from members of the TOTJO. some like myself are members of both sites, others only belong to one or the other. some are just kids (i think the youngest is 13), others are in thier 50's and 60's.
as i stated earlier in this thread i hope to start the Sonoran Temple of the Jedi Order soon here in Tucson. then anyone interested can just come and hear and see what it is all about. also the promise of a permanant home for the TFF meetings and any other activities such as saber practice and such will be honored when the Temple is built, i will see to it.

any time, any place my friend, well except when i have had to use a jackhammer for 2 days straight lol. i was sooooo burnt when you saw me at the circle K on 36th there rofl. it was a temp job workin for the guy that is subcontracting from the subcontractor that contracts from another contractor that contracts from the city of tucson lol. we put up the steel posts that keep the 4 wheelers out of the areas that they are destroying up at the end of 36th there.
